This one is pretty weak. Characters limitied and the acting is very stiff by "dad" and not much better by "son." Plenty of flaws in this flick, even with "suspension of belief" principle applied. If it's not on sale I would pass on this thing.

Just an average outing... I didn't find the story or characters very compelling. I'd wait for this to go on a deep sale/price cut before picking it up.

Overall I liked the movie. Nice to see some of the other characters getting some more screen time like Raven/Mystique. I went with the 3-D version of the movie as I prefer the add "depth" to the visuals.

Overall I thought the story was pretty compelling. All politics aside - the subject matter is tough to deal with when you consider all the death that is dealt out.
I think it's worth the purchase price especially if you can get it on sale - BluRay are still pretty spendy when they first come out (and so is movie going which is why I usually opt for media purcahses so I can enjoy it over-and-over).
I was hoping that the sonic quality was going to be really improved here, but I don't really perceive that much difference from the other re-releases (I heard that Page used the actual masters rather than copies like the earlier re-releases???). I was hoping that in re-mastering Jimmy would have punched up the bottom end a bit and pushed the sound closer to what they got with the "In Through the Out Door" session. I really want to hear Bonham in that fashion, but if you're a "mid-range" sound guy and Page oriented I think you'll like these discs.
Of their earlier matieral (1-4) I always thought this album was recored the best, and was really looking forward to this disc and the way that it sounded on the old analog equipment - maybe my mind it just making think it was better than it actually is???
One cool thing is the old album art has been faithfully reproduced. Nice to get some bonus tracks and alternative cuts - nothing to die for but nice to have if you don't already have those things.

What's great about it: Original album art reproduced; bonus tracks
What's not so great: Sonic quality didn't knock me of my feet

What's great about it: Some unrelased material; original album art
What's not so great: Was expecting a different sonic quality
I really love the movies in 3-D and feel eventually this is where film making is heading (unless holography shows up soon). I love 3-D for the the obvious depth that it gives to film photography and just adds to the "realism." I thought the 3-D quality was good on this film - I haven't done any 2-D to 3-D upscaling on my Oppo-103 player so I can't comment on the value of the media in that fashion. However I am in love with 3-D as I mentioned earlier.
I won't go into a synopsis here as there are better sources for those kind of reviews, but I thought the story was pretty good, especially considering how "familiar" the basic Superman story is. I really like the effects, best Krypton ever, etc... I say, BUY IT!!!

What's great about it: It's 3-D
What's not so great: These can be spendy discs! Look for sales.
This set contains the first three James Bond films that starred Daniel Craig as the iconic British super spy with a license to kill and a taste for martinis. Included here are Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and the Oscar winning Skyfall.
This is a great package price for the "Best Bond." All 3 Daniel Craig films are here. I say the Best Bond due to the new style of action films in comparison to the older Bond films... hmmm, that just don't seem to hold up very well. I have been replacing a lot of DVD's with this type of "collection" set. The BluRay sound and picture quality improvements over DVD are worth it to me. All three discs are in one case so it also offers a little room saving advantage if you're like me and have a significant amount of media.
I won't go into a film synopsis here, but I do feel these are the best overall films in the entire Bond series.
