Like most I didn't know that much about Winston Churchill. This outing gives a look into that short period of time just before WC was selected to be the PM and the Blitz.
This is a very period correct piece and looked brilliant - Gary Oldman was without a doubt brilliant as well. For that reason alone, this flick should be in your collection!!!
This just didn't standout in any fashion for me... not sure if they were trying to set up a vehicle for sequels in this plot - they should have just delivered a better script. I'd say the visual effects were the most redeeming part of this flick, so just shut-off your brain, crank the sound and hope you don't wish for that 2-hours of your life back!!!
Blade Runner 2049 was certainly a "pretty" movie from the visual effects standpoint, but I'm not sure I liked it as much as the original, or that it was as compelling. I'll need to watch it couple more times with/against the original to see if it can withstand the "classics" test!
This release contains every episode from the second season of Mr. Robot, the USA Network original show about a computer programmer who works with a shadowy organization dedicated to the destruction of corporate America. Rami Malek took home a 2016 emmy for his role as Eliot, the anti-social programmer who believes his dead father talks to him while wide awake.
The second season of Mr. Robot was as compelling as the first. The series hasn't lost any momentum or mojo! I binged the 2nd and 3rd seasons and am looking forward to the next.
Flatliners left me... kinda of flat... there I said it!!! I recall the original being better than this outing, however it did look pretty decent from a production standpoint.
This release contains every episode from the first season of the award-winning cable series American Horror Story starring Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton as a pair of new homeowners who discover their new abode contains dark secrets from the past.
I really enjoyed this story and binge watched the show in two sittings! Well written, well acted, and production was great too. I'm really looking forward to the other seasons that I picked up!!!
Underworld Blood wars is the fifth title in the series and while it fits in, I didn't think it wasn't a standout from the rest of the series. However, if you overlook some of the holes it's worth the bag of popcorn!
Kingsman: The Golden Circle isn't earning a lot of stars due to a brilliant script, but due to the action. There are a lot of great things going on in the action/special effects department that are certainly worth giving this film a viewing. Jullianne Moore was a low point here though, as I thought she was channeling way too much Lucy Liu's O-Ren Ishii in her character (recall the board room speech from Kill Bill).
