The picture looks very washed out from any angle except directly in front of the TV. I have played with all of the settings and cannot improve it. Has anyone else noticed this or did I get a bad TV? Most reviews touted the great picture.

Can you pair a universal remote with this TV? I want to be able to punch in a channel number rather than just scroll through sequentially.
Yes. We use the Directv rc65 on this TV. It's a standard IR remote unlike the roku boxes that use wifi remotes. The remote is line of sight.
