Battery life

When I first got it, I was pleased. However the battery life is short and it will not stay charged. I have bought several replacement batteries and they last for about 2 months, then it is the same old thing. I use the vac on the average 2 times per week. I have a small area that it is used in.
Pros: Fast Charge
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life

Battery is dead, was not in constant use, lasted 12 month. with all the negative comments we will not replace,but will junk "ROOMBA"

Bought this unit as we have pets in the house. It did a fair job of picking up the pet hair off bare floors. Never did a great job on carpet. Worked fine for about a year, then something went haywire and we sent it into the company for repair. Then the battery died. I refuse to spend that much on replacement batteries when the life of these is so limited. My roomba is sitting lifeless in the corner of my family room. Poor thing!
Cons: Charges slowly, Lacks Power, Short Life

I am going to repeat what all users have said. Great product bad battery - I mean - I would charge it as it says on the manual -[...]probably didn't do it right - ok - after reading all the reviews here I am sure that I did it right.And if you have these boards - how about reading the answers and fixing the problem? Hello? Anyone there?

I loved my Roomba when first purchased, then less than 8 months later, the battery started to die quickly. I reset battery as stated, but it did no good. I agree with everyone who stated the battery costs too much!!! Will not use my Roomba again until battery prices come down and battery lasts longer. Does this company read any of its reviews???

Dang Battery

Same Problem. I have two, a discovery and a 500 series. I have replaced the battery on the discovery so that it would clean more and leave enough power to get back to the homebase. after 9 months the new discovery battery started to die faster meaning i had to go searching under things, troublesome with a bad back. Now the 500 series supposedly refreshes the battery, I have not seen much of a refreshment on the 500 series, and i'm not sure how to refresh the discovery model, if that is really possible.
Pros: For the blind, Great for allergies, Great for busy people, Great for the handicapped
Cons: Battery

My roomba got put away when the battery failed to re-charge. I was just about to order a new one and start using it again but decided to read the comments first. Hmmmmm Does anyone know if the battery issue has been fixed? What a shame as these things are so much easier on my bad back.

Battery a huge disappointment

While product performs as billed it doesn't for long.I would not recommend it to others because of its poor quality and over-priced battery. The product is a fraud and should be discontinued. I am stuck with the product and wish I wasn't.
