Love My Roomba, Hate the Battery

Love my Roomba for genral house cleaning, but battery life is an expensive iRobot product problem. I'm on my third battery at $70 each. Hey iRobot, how about fixing this obvious problem... Also customer service and tech. support used to be great when you could talk with someone in the US. Now you only get "folks' in South America that can only tell you what they read on computer screen. They don't know the product well enough to really help. Every time I call it's the same on deal....

Have 1 Scooba,1 Dirt Dog, 2 Roombas but can only use one of the roombas one battery ng after 8mo, love them all only problem is the power supply, recharge life short replacement to much $$$$. Make a better battery. Come on You can do it

I love the Roomba, this is my second one, but disappointed in the batteries, neither have last more than 13 months and they're expensive to replace.

Battery costs too much

The concept is great and the storage works too...but the battery cost is way too high for the value received.
Pros: Good Value, The unit was a decent pri, price
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Used 6 times and battery, Was shot

Build a better battery

I love my Roomba. BUT, the cost of a new APS battery every year makes it one of the most expensive vacuum cleaners on the planet. Can't someone make a better, longer lasting battery?

Works FANTASTIC, until the BATTERIES DIE

I bought two of them for myself and one for my mom. Their battery lasted 8 months, mine lasted about 10 months. Replaced all three batteries and they all died within 4 months. They now sit in the garage. Its a great unit, but you have to improve the battery life. The price for replacements is not worth it.
Pros: Easy To Clean, High quality
Cons: Batteries dont last, Noisy

Poor Battery Technology

Over the years we owned six Roombas. They all work well until the batteries gave out. All but the latest 500 series have gone to the trash because of the lack of a dependable battery. As an owner of iRobtics stock, and Roomba cleaners, I am concerned that the company has failed to designed a dependable and cost efficient replacement battery. There are more negative battery reviews than positive, and yet the company fails to address the problem.
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value
