Battery life too short and expensive

Great for getting under furniture and beds but battery life is very disappointing. My vacuum still works but until you come up with a better battery, it will sit in my closet.
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life

SO LOVE THE IDEA, PURCHASED 2 FOR MYSELF AND 1 FOR MY DAUGHTER. NOT EVEN A YEAR AND ALL OF THEM HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER BATTERY AT $70 EACH. A COUPLE OF TIMES OF THAT AND FORGET IT. FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY COST I CANNOT UNDERSTAND IN THIS DAY AND AGE WHY THE COMPANY CAN'T COME UP WITH A FIX FOR THAT PROBLEM. I REALLY MISS HAVING IT AS I AM HANDICAPPED.

I have 2 Roomba for vacuuming and 2 Scooba for floor-washing. what is great about Roomba is its ease of use and emptying the dustbin and changing the filter. easier than using a traditional vacuum cleaner. Scooba is even more amazing. with water shortages, i cannot imagine anyone being able to mop floors and use so little water. anyone should be aware, though, that the batteries only last a year and they indeed are expensive to replace; but given the alternative, i'll buy the batteries and keep hoping someone builds a better battery. these products are especially great for persons with disabilities.
Pros: Best cleaning tools ever
Cons: Poor short-life batteries

The battery just doesn't last long enough.We wish it could be made with lithium-ion. It is pricey for the the amount of uses we get from this particular battery. Please come up with something more efficient. Thank You.

I love my roomba, it really cleans good but the battery does not last very long. I have already replaced it once and it is dead again. Relly expensive to replace that often.
Pros: Good Power Output
Cons: Hard To Clean

Poor battery life

I have had two roomba's which I loved but I will not buy another one. The batteries don't last and are to expensive to keep replacing them. After all these years and after all the poor reviews on battery life I would think I robot would have fixed this problem by now. I used to recommend roomba but I won't anymore.

Routine floor cleaning with iRobot Roomba. The battery life (not the run time, its actual lifespan) is so short compared to the price of the battery that I could not recommend it. I was hoping for an improved battery by this time.

Poor Battery Life

We have bought 3 Roombas 2 as gifts, all 3 batteries are dead. I sent 1 battery to a battery re-conditioner, That battery only lasted 3 months. I was told there was only a 1 month guarantee from them. So until IRobot comes up with a different battery there is no recourse.
