Love "Robby" but Hate the Battery

I love "Robby" my Robot but his battery life is just too short. I'm on my third battery and I don't use him regularly but when I do I let him run down all the way as was suggested to me. Battery life needs to be made a priority by iRobot! Otherwise, I love it. We only have ceramic and laminate floors and he does a wonderful job.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Efficient, Ergonomic, Good Power Output, Helpful, Lightweight
Cons: Batteries Expensive, Battery Life too short

Just to expensive to keep replacing

I really like the Irobot ... when it works... but, this product has a major flaw with the battery, as they do not last long. The cost to replace the battery every year is really something to seriously consider prior to making an irobot purchase... I am actually amazed they are still selling in the big box stores.... I wonder how many irobots are just laying around peoples' home collecting dust... on top... because people just can't justify the cost of yet another battery??? ... off to the recycling bag it goes... again... hmmm??

Rechargable battery only lasts a year

Seems like the expensive rechargable battery should last longer than one year. I've had my unit for 3 years, and have had to replace the battery every year.
Cons: Low Quality, Pricey / Poor Value

The battery I got with my first Roomba, back in 2003 lasted 2 years before I had to replace it. With these replacements, I've been having to replace them yearly. This one didn't even last 9 months.
Pros: Fast Charge
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life

Loved the Scheduler until we had to replace the battery. The new battery looked and fit the same but after a few months stopped working. Now we cannot even get a minute out of a full charge. And I refuse to spend [$] on a sub-standard replacement. Like other raters I'm amazed the company does not make the necessary changes to keep loyal customers. I'll look for a good alternative.
Pros: Good Power Output, Great Vac terrible batt
Cons: No customer loyalty, Replacement batt sucks, Short Life, Terrible cus svc

Come on I-Robot, I'm now added to the evergrowing list of Roomba owners who think you have a great product but poor value because of battery life and price. I would think in today's economy you would want your sales to increase if all it would take is to do something about the battery problem.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Ergonomic, Good job on hard floors
Cons: Not enough door guards, Poor job on carpets

Great vacuum, horrible battery

Used the Roomba twice a week. Works great, but battery died in less than 10 months. The battery cost is exorbitant. This is almost as expensive as a car battery!
