I love the robot when it works, You do need to clean it I'd say, after every use, but really it's not too big of a deal to clean it. However, I have to agree with the previous comment, the battery does not last long, and it is expensive.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This product would be fine, if the battery life was not just useless. I cannot understand how they could make such a complete failure of a part of the product. Since the rest is quite satisfactory.

I've been through 2 batteries and I'm out of options at this point. I refuse to buy another battery that I have no confidence will work. I've had my Roomba for a few years and the service has been inconsistent the whole time due to the battery problems. When it's working, I love it, but it's only working for 15 minutes and then takes days to try and get the battery charged again to run. I'll stick with my little broom and dust pan for now. I don't want to spend any more money on this.
Cons: Inconsistent Performance, Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life

I love my Roomba BUT I hate the battery life!! Im on my second battery at [$]!! The original one lasted about a year then completely died. I bought a second one that lasted 6 months!! Really??Im sorry to say that I will have to go back to the traditional vacuum. These batteries are way too costly to replace this often. I will no longer recommend this product to family and friends.

first one, loos of power in 6 months, last 10 months. second one (replacement), gone in three months, used only 5 times!!

Don't buy this trash. Battery lasted just over the 6 mos. warrenty and died, and this was with limited use. For the ridiculous price that they charge you can get about 3 after market batteries that last much longer. This is your typical over priced, poor quality Chinese trash.

Went to use it the first time and battery was dead.Tried to charge it and still nothing.I won`t recommend it to no one.,To replace the battery alone, the cost is outrageous.

I have bought one for myself then gave 3 as gifts which I am embrassed too have done now that I see how poorly the battery performs I NOW NEED MY 3RD BATTERY I LIKE THE VACUMM BUT THIS IS THE LAST TIME I am buying at this inflated price. I have back problems and need to avoid vacumming but it looks like I will have to back to my regular vacum cleaner.DO READ THESE REVIEWS AT ALL OR is this going off into the black hole...............
