When it worked it was very cool! But it was more frustrating waiting for it to charge. Figured the battery died, so I got a replacement... Still don't work. It only worked after a twelve hour charge, then only worked for approximately 20 min.I read the reviews and am horrified! Not ANY good reviews. What does this say for the company?
Cons: Charges slowly, Inconsistent Performance, Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life

Wife love IRobot but is very disappointed with the short like of the battery and replacement cost. WE on our 3rd battery and I can assure you this will be the last With today's economy you would think your company would make sure you have the best product for the best price to retain customers Suggestion Work on a longer battery life and lower the price of the replacement battery

Great Robot

Great robot, better in many way then the newer ones as they sometimes leave trails because the internal suction doesn't seem as strong, and brush design doesn't work as well, however the battery sucks, it dies when it is ready and unexpectedly. For what it is worth, I filed off the teeth on my pet Roomba catch tray (works better now) and drilled 6 3/16 holes in my newer scheduler in the catch tray to pull more suction through also works better now. The original scheduler was great should have just repackaged, moved the programming to the body, new battery and left the cleaning brushes, catch trays, and vacuum design alone. If ain't broke don't fix it. I am a field problem solver for a large aircraft manufacturer, with sub ties, and recognize over design. Good products sell themselves; bastardized products scare off your loyal customer base and destroy your word of mouth advertising.

This replacement battery is way too pricey. iRobot should be ashamed of themselves for devloping a product and price gauging to keep it running. Sad.

I have three (3) units and have replaced the batteries in each three (3) times. Of the last batch I purchased, one died after 60 days, another within 90 days. They will not accept a charge. At these batteries per unit cost, I would expct them to last one to two years. By the way, the third one died after four (4) months. How often do I run the units? Once every one to two weeks. So, I got about between three to six runs out of the first two batteries before they gave up the ghost, and about ten runs on the third battery. Advice: Save your money - Don't get these.

Too Expensive

Have not used for 2 yrs. because battery wouldn't hold a charge more than 30 seconds at best. Will not pay this much money for a new battery and can't afford to every year. I am deeply disappointed in the quality of the product because it's a terrific idea and fun to use but quality and customer service are a priority.

Picks up more dust, etc., than expected. Battery failed in less than a year. New battery lasted about the same. Batteries are too expensive. Can batteries be re-built cheaper than purchasing a new battery?
