Short Battery Life

The product works great as decribed by the manufacture. But the battery couldn't recharge fully after a year of enjoyment to this product. A good news to all Roomba owners though is that there is a reset battery procedure to bring back our Roomba alife once again. 1. Remove battery, then hold down the power button for at least 20 sec. 2. Reinstall battery and charge the roomba directly without the homebase for at least 3 days. 3. Press Max button to drain out the battery and repeat the cycle 2 and 3 for 2 or 3 times. The result is battery being able to charge fully again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I liked it because it cleaned and I just sat around or did another chore but now the battery is dying and I see a replacement is very expensive. After reading the poor reviews I doubt if I buy a new battery....Well, sadly another irobot in the garage and then to the trash or yard sale.
Cons: Battery Short Life, Charges slowly, Lacks Power, Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life

Regretably, I own two Roombas and a Scooba. Please don't ask me why. Maybe I'll put them in a yard sale for cheap. Then again probably not. In good conscience I don't think I could stick an unsuspecting buyer with the expense of constantly replacing these expensive and short lived batteries. I have five dead ones if anyone is interested! This is a really sad situation because other than the lousy battery life, the units serve thier intended purpose fairly well. The frequent battery replacement negates any advantage of ownership and is a deal breaker for me.
Pros: Nice Yellow
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life

It did a very nice job for light cleaning. Very cool technology. Set it up and it does its job when you are gone. It sounded so effortless. The BIG problem was it only worked for a few months before the battery gave up. The unit was stored for few years unused. Tried buying a battery for it but after reading the reviews I decided not to. Wish there was a longer lasting battery out there.

I also have been disapointed with the battery life. After reading these reviews I looked into on line sources. Batterise R Us has a replacement for 1/2 the cost with a 1 yr warranty. I ordered it & will try to extend the life of an otherwise good product!!!

Good product, but Battery is a joke!

I love the product but I refuse to buy another new battery. My last battery lasted less than 8 months. We have allergies and it is great for keeping dust from accumulating under the beds. Poor value for the money.
Pros: Does a good job, Great Idea
Cons: Charges slowly, Poor customer support, Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life, Very Short Battery Life

Battery did NOT last long!!! Battery Replacement too $$$$

The battery only lasted about 3 months. The battery would NO longer charge. I then put this expensive little vacuum, for what it is away. After seeing it in the garage collect dust....just sitting there, I thought I would check on a new battery. WOW...talk about an Expensive battery $$$$$!!!!! Roomba SHOULD cover the cost of at least on battery replacement for the cost of these things!!

Battery Life too Short

I have had 2 Discovery series Ra-mbas for less than 6 months... when I started using them I could clean 3 rooms... Now I can only do 2 before the battery runs down... I also have an original series, which I used in my downstairs for about 5 years, and put in the basement when I got the other two... I had the same problem with it and replaced the battery often - I thought the new APS battery would be better it isn't... I also own the quick battery charger which I have to use just to clean the 3 rooms.... also my son has 2 different models - the battery is dead in both of them - he can not afford to replace the batteries therefore his Ra-mbas set unused...
Pros: Convenience
Cons: Short Battery Life
