Battery doesn't last very long

After not being used for several months, both of my Roomba batteries failed to hold a charge. They are not very old and very disappointing for the price they cost.
Cons: Low Quality, Pricey / Poor Value

After the first few months of use the charge life continued to shorten until after approximately 50 uses over a period of time a full charge lasted only a few seconds
Pros: Durable, Short life
Cons: Low Quality, Pricey / Poor Value

i loved my roomba while it lasted it was very convenient while it laster. But, after about 6 mos the battery quit and its been gathering dust for the last few years. i refuse to replace batteries every 6 months as it seems the opposite of convenient. C'mon iRobot..if feel like ive been iRippedOff.

APS Battery Limited Shelf Life

We own 4 iRobots and within the past year we have had to replace 2 batteries. One new battery lasted only 9 months...the newer batteries don't seem to hold a charge as did the older batteries purchased 3 years ago. We are stock holders and use our iRobots daily to clean both carpets and bare floors. Hopefully, the quality of your batteries will improve

I had a similar problem- it lost it's charge in under a minute after about a year of use. Very disappointing because I really like the vacuum.

I really splurged on this unit a few years ago. Yes, a few years ago and that is also how long ago the battery died and i have not used it since. A pity to manufacture such a nice unit and have it equipped with what i consider a substandard battery for operating it, Yes, i know i can purchase replacement batteries from the company, but why would anyone want to invest in a unit like this and have to constantly replace batteries that only last a few months.
Pros: Convenient, Does A Decent Job, Space Saver

I have 6 of them, love the machines but am sitting on several that do work due to battery. Hate spending the additional dollars. IROBOT - offer a 50% off sale on batteries and they will fly off the shelves. The batteries are high markup anyway. Get the customers back in love with IROBOT

I would like to know if there is any other source of buying this battery at a better price. It is too expensive to keep replacing every year.
