FIX THE BATTERY PROBLEM !!!

I love my Roomba ...except for the battery. It's way too expensive and fails way too often. Sadly I haven't been able to use my Roomba for over a year and am very reluctant to buy a new one or another replacement battery. Such a shame!
Pros: Easy To Clean
Cons: Debris cup too small

NuMH Battery for IRobot

I have replaced this battery once before. It runs great for 9 months and then has a noticeable decline in function time. I LOVE the vacuume, but find the battery price, for the length of time it works, a bit high.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Lightweight
Cons: Weak Function
I would recommend this to a friend!

the battery life is digusting, I will not replace the battery and it is going in the garbage, what a waste of my money

replacement parts are a little too expensive for us...batteries do not last long. It is ok if your rich..
Pros: Easy To Clean, Ergonomic, Good Power Output, High maint, Lightweight
Cons: Battery low life expens

I bought this for my wife on Mothers day as My sister had one and praised it. When I visited her this summer the unit now will not do one room and just goes around in circles but does not return to the charger when required. Our unit is lucky if it does half of the room now.
Cons: Charges slowly, Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life

I love my iRobot but I cannot believe I have to spend 70 box for the battery. That's how much I would pay for a conventional vaccum. Since the price of the IRobot i so high the battery should have a better quality and less expensive to replace it.

The manual that came with my iRobot 400 series vacuum said that the unit came with a NiMH battery. In reality, the battery is the cheaper NiCD battery (the blue one). Of course, I didn't notice this when I purchased it because I believe the battery was already installed in the unit. Anyway, after about 1 year of solid use cleaning 2-3 rooms fairly regularly the battery life is non-existent now. When I saw the cost of the NiMH battery, I nearly passed out. I paid only a few bucks more for the iRobot itself! Is this done on purpose so you just buy a new vacuum every year? If you search around you might find the battery elsewhere for less. It's amazong! I mean, AMAZING.
