I love Roomba; got this one to replace a very old, much loved, hard working model. I really don't know if the machine works as well as my original or not- I have never been able to keep it running as long as my first Roomba due to these batteries: even when they were new. Like a previous commenter, I suspect the wall mount jiggled loose from the pins causing the final downfall of the battery in my case. However, it never was able to clean a whole room at a time, whereas my previous model could do two and a half in the same house before recharging.
Pros: Loved my old one
Cons: 50 sec run time, Battery lasted 3 mos
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not worth the money

Great when I first bought it. Gave away 2 for gifts, then the batteries died, and the replacement cost was outrageous.Will not be getting another battery until the company upgrades them and lowers the cost significantly.Too bad because it was very easy to use and very convenient too.

Cons: Weak Function

I love how it cleans, picked up more just after I had used upright vacuum, but battery life and expense is a big problem. Looking for a product with better battery system.

you would think with the amount of terrible reviews about the battery, the roomba people might get excited and try and make a better and or cheaper battery replacement!! this kind of publicity must be bad for business. i guess i can just chuck my roomba out in the garbage unless they have a plan for recycling all of the ones that don't work.

Poor battery life and expensive

I've had my Roomba-scheduler for about 6 years now and this will be the third time that I have had to replace it! Charges quickly unless you get to the point where the battery is no longer holding the charge and then you have to remove the battery, press and hold clean/power switch for 5-10 seconds and then replace the battery! After doing this several times, it appears that it is time once again to purchase another battery. It would seem like the company would be working on developing a newer, stronger, long-lasting battery after all of tis time. Come on R&D, get moving!

I used the roomba when taking my kids a bath. Was wonderful as multitasking tool. Until battery died. Now a year later I was willing to buy a new one but, seeing the price, not interested.
