Great product, but batteries = terrible

I do love this product, however something NEEDS to be done about the battery. It's just too expensive to keep buying every year for multiple machines.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Weak Function

•How you use the product - I don't. 3rd high priced battery is dead. •Things that are great about it - Nothing right now •Things that aren't so great about it - 3rd high priced battery is dead. I really love my Roomba when it works, but with the battery dieing in no time, it now just sits in the corner attracting the dust and pet hair it can no longer pick up. I'm having trouble justifying why I should spend another $70.00 on something that may work for a couple months.
Cons: Batteries poor value

Love my Roomba until I brought the replacement battery which only lasted for six months. Had not used Roomba for one year.
Pros: Good Power Output, Reliable
Cons: Pricey / Poor Value, Short Life

I was looking at this website to order a new battery for my unit. EXPENSIVE!! Like other comments I could almost buy a new unit for the price of the battery. AND the one that came with the unit didn't last very long AND it doesn't clean 4 rooms with a single charge. I wish I had went to this website before I bought it because these comments would of changed my purchase. Now I have a unit that won't work because of the dead battery. I wish the company would respond to these issues posted here. NOT HAPPY!!!!

Outrageously overpriced for something with a short life, it represents the worst aspect of a reasonable product. One remains forever beholden to a very ruthless technology! The vacuum works flawlessly, but at a price - including this dreadful battery - way beyond the competition!
Pros: Fast Charge
Cons: 2 year max, Lacks Power, Short Life

I loved what this vacuum could pick up! I felt like it really did a great job, but the battery life sucks and they are almost just as much as I paid for the irobot on sale anyway. I won't be buying another one until the prices come WAY down. My upright vacuum works just as well and cost me the same price it costs to replace the battery. [...], here it comes!
