Advanced Power System??.......not

i own 2 roomba's and 1 scooba. i love them all, but i am giving up on them. i have invested so much money in the batteries it's crazy. it seems like every time i turn around i need a new battery. the machines have held up very well. u would think these robot people would address the battery, or at least figure out a way to bring the price down. i have given the roomba to family members as gifts, and everyone says the same thing...the battery is too expensive for what it is and how often it needs to be replaced. i will not recommend this product again, and i will be sending all 3 of my machines to the robot graveyard. enough

I've gone through 3 batteries and was hoping the price had come down on batteries. It's getting too costly to keep replacing the battery. Was hoping, like others, that iRobot would have negotiated a better price on the battery by now. Loved the way it works... great at getting under beds, and it vacuums great... it's just the battery that is the problem.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Ergonomic, Good Power Output, Lightweight

We use roomba as an addition to our regular cleaning and vaccuming.No harder to clean than a vaccum cleaner. Easy and convienient use but after less than a year the battery will no longer charge. After reading reviews I will not be replacing our battery since it seems to be an ongoing problem. Until something better comes along I will stash my roomba and go back to regular vaccuming.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Easy To Use, Ergonomic, Lightweight
Cons: Weak battery

Good product, expensive battery

Love this product to do the quick stuff. It helps to keep the floors tidy in between deep cleans. Came online to purchase a new battery and Wow...expensive. I won't be purchasing a new battery. Very disappointed I spent so much money on this and I will no longer get any use out of it.
Pros: Cleans well, Good Power Output
Cons: Battery EXPENSIVE

I replaced the tire tread and then discovered the battery problem. Was about to order a new one when I read the reviews. I'll forget it and stick with the Shark.

Battery Life a BIG negative

Unless something is done to greatly improve battery life, and to reduce the cost of the replacement battery then the product should be avoided. If you do buy it, count on replacing the battery at least once a year at a cost of approx [$]

The original worked great, the replacement battiery is worthless, I will not buy another and seeing how Irobot has not listened to thier PREVIOUS customers, I will shop other brands for cleaning robots, too bad cuz everything else about this robot is GREAT! Irobot LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS while you still have a few! Outsource your battery making to a company who knows how to make them!!!!
