Way beyond expectations: Whirlpool? 20 cu. ft. Upright Freez

We do a daily food blog ... five new dishes a week. That's a whole bunch of food to store! We were desperate for more freezer space. Went shopping only thinking of price. Our local dealer gave us a great deal. Great. Didn't think much more ... then, we started using it. Wow! Well organized space. Easy access. Super cold when we need it in "Eskimo" mode. Makes everything easier.

A Great Freezer

I purchased this freezer about 6 weeks ago and I am really happy with it. It has all the features I wanted plus the pull out baskets. Highly recommend this freezer.

We bought 3 of these freezers to replace a very large commercial freezer. We have been pleased with how they hold true to temperature. Our cook loves how easy it is to stock them with food and to be able to get items out. Our janitor loves that there is a power light that he can just glance at to see if there is power to them.

Only a few recommendations to improve

The alarm, even set at loudest setting, is not sufficient to be heard, especially when freezer is not on main floor. Also, the door doesn't have enough shelf containers, and the long basket in the body of the freezer doesn't always stay on track. The unit does seem to hold temps very well, and I have noticed a reduction in my electric bill since replacing my older freezer with this one.

Easy setup. Great depth to bins on doors. Love the baskets, great for bags of frozen vegetables. Only drawback is door sticks occasionally.

Have had it for about a month. Has reduced confusion in our refrigerator's freezer. Already saving us money since we are buying items that are on sale and freezing them.
