My dream come true!!

Always wanted a freezer but as a single person didn't feel the need for one. My daughter & grandson moved in with me and she purchased it for me. We now can take advantage of store sale items...save money. When I cook now I double my recipes and freeze the leftover...don't cook as often, love it. Looking forward to the holidays when I can cook ahead and freeze and not spend as much time in the kitchen!!

We have only had our Freezer for a short time now but so far it's been great. I only wish there had been a basket on the lower level of the door, which would give us even more room - however, it could be my fault as I didn't look into this when making the purchase.

Nice Freezer

We bought this after reading a lot of reviews. It has everything we wanted and are very happy with it. The only problem we've had with it is pulling the door handle off. Seriously, after you close the door something happens and it's very hard to immediately reopen it. It sounds like there's a vacuum pump sucking the door in or something. Anyway, if you try to reopen it right away, it's very hard. A few times I've pulled hard on the door handle and it's come off. It goes right back on, but still. Maybe I'll call the service folks and see if they'll give me a new handle and see if it stays on better. The only feature it does not have is a door lock, which we never used on our old freezer.

Pretty happy with freezer

I really like my new freezer overall. But, my concern with durability is continuing after only less than 6 months had to have it serviced. The defrost timer was defective and I could have very easily lost all of my contents before realizing the problem. Lucky I did have the temp alarm to alert me over time that there was a problem. Funny thing is I replaced a very old unit that was no longer defrosting and I didn't trust anymore. After a lot of research, I ended up finding the one that had a defective part. I still believe that Whirlpool is one of the better product lines out there.
