Horrible lighting & slow ice maker

My husband and daughter surprised me with the "Gallery collection" for our kitchen. I didn't really have a chance to look around before they were already installed at my home. So this refridgerator is the darkest I've ever seen. There is ONE (1) light in the back of the fridge on the top shelf. Well of course you put items there so that blocks the light and when looking for things I always have to move whatever is in the way of the light on the top shelf. It's very frustrating. Besides that the 2nd ice maker in the freezer hardly ever makes ice. That was one of the reasons we bought it. Right away we thought there was something wrong, but no that's just how it is. Ugh! We are still buying bagged ice for our coolers in the summer. Totally dissappointed with this refridgerator, the microwave and especially the dishwasher. Everything molds if we don't leave the door open or run it and unload it immediately. NEVER will I buy a frididaire again. Women, consider the lighting and the need for extra ice before you purchase this model, no matter what the price.

Makes very little ice

We bought this a year ago and 2 things I have discovered that I could not have predicted in the store: 1) Makes very little ice; not enough for a family of 3. 2) When opening the doors, lights come on very slowly. This is annoying as you have to rand there for extra time waiting for the light to fully illuminate the refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Greetings, Tiff90! Thank you for feedback on our Frigidaire Gallery French Door Refrigerator. Your ice maker should produce 2.5 to 3 pounds of ice per 24 hours. Please contact us directly, if your ice maker is not producing the amount suggested. Also, depending on your needs you are able to add a second ice maker to your refrigerator. Looks Nice but....

We've had this refrigerator for a year. The doors can look like they are shut but remain open...there is no alarm to alert you to this fact. The freezer is the same...may look closed but has not shut completely. Make certain that you double check before you leave the kitchen. The ice maker is noisy, slow, and doesn't produce much ice. For our family, the interior refrigerator space is small. Not happy with this refrigerator at all.

Hi Mmckane. Please review the installation instructions in your owner's manual that indicate to check that the refrigerator is level, side-to-side and tilted ¼” (6 mm) front-to-back. Awesome Insulation

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I advised my in laws to get this fridge taking their budget, and needs in mind. We recently had a power outage that lasted over 6 hours. NONE of the food got over 40 degrees Fahrenheit! We had ice cream in the freezer that softened a little, but everything else stayed fresh! Amazing insulation!
