Great Service

I purchased my refrig Dec. 2010 and loved it. All aspects, space, style etc., except for the ice maker. It made ice when it felt like it..It finally quit in June 2011. The ice maker unit was replaced with an upgrade model. That new maker also started doing the same thng and by Nov. 2011 it to stopped making ice. But, I still love my refrig... Working with Electrolux and having the ice maker serviced 4 times I was finally given a new refrig. that was delivered yesterday (3/12/2012). The ice maker has been redesigned and the refrig is exactaly like my old one. I got up this morning and had ice for the first time in 4 months... Love it!!!! Great service and cooperation from Electrolux.
I would recommend this to a friend!

5 months new...some issues but mostly good

Love the fact that the freezer is on bottom, with plenty of space. Fridge cleans up nice. However, have had many days where the icemaker stops making ice, we take the filter out and shake it up and put it back in and then it seems to work. but, there's no indication there's anything wrong with the filters so what gives? Also, the freezer appeared to be open a crack and everything defrosted one night yet there was no alarm. I don't like the way the shelves are- the top right one, under the ice box, is not really useful - no place for a milk jub and a couple of bottles of soda. And, not sure what the thing in the top right of the door is for? However, all in all it's ok but very expensive for something that I'm not loving and it's brand new.

Ice maker issues more than cancel the good

We paid for this top of the line French door fridge for our new house, and the ice maker is basically useless on days when all our family of four is at home together (weekends). On Saturdays the icemaker is empty by mid-day, and it's not because we're using that much ice because by Sunday morning it's still empty. Our previous, much less expensive and new Frigidaire side-by-side we bought for the house we just sold had no trouble keeping up. Still under warranty and the service company supposedly ordered a new ice maker over a month ago. We have friends who had the same fridge. They went through getting a new ice maker as well and still had the same problems. Frigidaire finally gave them a newer model french door fridge (evidently with the icemaker flaw designed out), and they said the ice maker works wonderfully. So, don't tell me that a small icemaker is just a con with respect to french door fridges.

DO NOT BUY!

This purchase was a huge disappointment. I absolutely loved the french door style, the entire layout, etc. so I decided to purchase. However, the functionality is defunct. The ice maker does not work. I have had a repair man out to my house four times over the past six months and the problem is still not fixed. The ice maker will either not make ice or run so loudly that the noise fills the entire house. I understand the ice maker is not in the freezer, but this model is clearly not designed properly. Very disappointed with Frigidaire.

I am happy with my refigerator but would like to know if there is a way of stopping the icemaker when it is full in the winter time when we do not use as much ice. I have to empty the ice maker tray because it make a noise when it is full and the ice is slow to eject. I would also like to know if there is a way to turn up the water flow on the outside of the refrigerator so it is not so slow. Love the freezer department, lots of room and convenient.

There was nothing wrong with my old refrigerator, but due to a new kitchen, our old fridge was replaced with the above. Regrets, Regrets. This new fridge has had its share of problems and left me with nothing but regrets, for dumping my older and better fridge. Things always do look greener on the other side, don't they.

THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS THE ICE MAKER IS TOO SMALL AND CUBES ARE NOT COLD ENOUGH. MAY NOT BE A PROBLEM TO OTHERS BUT I USE A LOT OF ICE AND PROBABLY WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THIS MODEL IF I HAD KNOWN.
