Last Frigidaire unit lasted for 13 years. Pretty happy with this one, more energy efficient and crushed ice option that I did not have in the last one.

This refrigerator is falling apart.

This started shortly after we brought it. The door shelves broke, the ice maker had to be replaced. Now the bottom bins and guides are broke. We were told that the shelves, bins and guides are not covered by warranty ( we got 3 year extended warranty ). We have had this refrigerator less than 2 years.

Used to be better...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had an older version of this model. I don't know if the model number was the same. We really liked it a lot, but the air compressor eventually failed and the way they build things these days, it's cheaper to throw away AN ENTIRE REFRIGERATOR than it is to replace a compressor. That's insane. It lasted 7 years. But we really loved the price point and except for that failure, it had been a fantastic refrigerator. So we got a this one, which is nearly identical, except with cheaper components. What had been light that came on when you used the water dispenser now requires you to press a button (and it's one of those flat contact type ones that I dare anyone to ever find in the dark). And everything about it just seems cheaper. Fortunately we still had the old one so we swapped out all the shelves and drawers from the old one because they were all better quality. It's also noisy. Go read the reviews on Lowes (SORT BY DATE to see the most recent first!!!!). It makes a whole cornucopia of sounds out of the freezer, probably the ice maker. Sometimes it sounds like someone knocking at the door. Sometimes it sounds like a dog barking. Sometimes it sounds like an animal moaning it's last gasp. Not terribly loud, but loud enough. It's right outside our bedroom door. The old one was really quiet. Our in-laws, for some reason, got one as well (price point, probably). They're having the same sounds...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple of weeks ago because my old one went out. I liked the price, but when I got it home there is no glass that separates the two bottom drawers. The ice maker keeps making a knocking sound when trying to turn to drop ice. I tried to go to this site to see why the ice maker is making the knocking sound and no luck. The egg storage is not even big enough to hold a 18 carton of eggs, they stick out and the lid won't come all the way down to close. There is not a small drawer to place things like lunch meat in.

Stopped cooling

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Owned for 2 years. Have another just like this one purchased Mother's day of 2015 along with an FFHB2740PP French door. The first one I bought stopped cooling after two years. I did not buy an extended warranty so I am out in the cold (maybe should say heat). The French door ice maker froze up so we took everything out and put in coolers and used fans to thaw out. About 2 hours later placed everything back in and turned back on. Ice maker works but it has been more than 36 hours and the freezer still has not came down to temperature. It is currently showing 13 degrees on the freezer and 35 on the refrigerator. We have a Frigidaire gas range that has a probe that has never worked correctly. After 3 refrigerators and a gas range (all purchased in last 3 years) and only 1 of the 4 without problems, I will not buy anything else made by Electrolux/Frigidaire.
