Great out of the box

I just received my new Epson EX7220 this morning, but so far, I am very impressed.
First, the projector arrived just one day after I placed the order (in less than 24 hours).
Next, setup was a breeze. I am choosing to project wirelessly, so I followed the directions on the quick install sheet, and I had the image from my 27" iMac projecting onto my whiteboard within 10 minutes.
Admittedly, I've configured a few before, as we installed about 120 projectors in the high school where I was a tech director. However, I hadn't set one up in three years. Bottom line, after I entered the name of my wireless network and the passphrase and downloaded and the launched the wireless software to my Mac, the projector showed up. I clicked Connect, and now I'm able to project instructional materials for my jazz piano students and workshop attendees.
The image is bright and clear, and it displays everything on my iMac. Of course, the image automatically adjusts (vertical keystone), so I didn't have to mess with that.
I love it.

What the projector means to me

The Epson EX7220 projector is great for family night movies and it has awesome real time colors and sound. I would recommend this projector to everyone. Thanks Epson for a great projector.

This is a good product and does everything advertised quite well. After a bit of software updates and app downloads, I was even able to link my android tablet to the projector. There is a definite delay through the wireless connection. This does not affect photo and slide projection but would not work with any videos.
Setting up the network connection is a bit cumbersome, so if you don't move the projector between multiple networks, you'll be okay. In our case we go to various locations and use several devices to project from, so buying the optional key to easily set up a wireless connection from the device to the projector is the way to go.

I wanted one for work presentations but also decided to upgrade to this for backyard entertaining in the summer around the hot tub and pool. I am very pleased with the purchase as video looks crisp.
The sound is fine but sounds a tad distorted at highest levels but I am planning to use speakers anyway. LCD is worth it compared to DLP for no rainbow effect. Well worth the money so far!

The picture quality is great and the brightness during the day is amazing. The sound quality could be better. I attached the projector to a ceiling mount and the speakers began to vibrate. Overall a great product!!!

I needed to replace a projector for one of my consultants. After doing research I chose the EX7220, the wireless capabilities are excellent. It is true to the description being lightweight and very bright and clear. I just ordered another...GREAT Projector!!
