I love the projector but the wireless doesn't work

I am quite happy with the projector itself but the extra money I paid to have ease of wireless was a total waste. Something is missing and Epson does not have ease of use to connect to wireless. The projector wants a password to get onto its network which I have no idea where the password came from as it was always there from the outset. My ipad or iphone are useless with it and I can't connect with wireless at all even with my laptop. The app that I downloaded does not work at all in this setting so its useless. How I wish Epson cared enough to go to the trouble of having a very comprehensive tutorial on how to do it, I have followed all the available instructions it came with which don't work. If not then re-design the app to be logical and do all that is necessary for the wireless to work.

I am pretty technical - but no way could I figure out the wireless ability of this projector after 2 hours. Downloaded all the manuals and software - nope, can't figure it out - and that was my main reason for getting one with this ability...

I am pretty experienced with projectors. The Epson EX7220 was an easy set up with the cords. The display is bright and clear!
The wireless was more difficult to set up, I had to call support. Youtube videos did not seem available. (Besides ads) But support was fast and helpful.
I was surprised to learn that with wireless it cannot show videos. That was not clear in the advertisements I read. (With cords you can.)
Still, a good easy to use projector. I would buy it again.

So far... I am VERY VERY happy with this product. It has so far been all that I wanted with regards to my home theatre system. I can watch it with windows open wide with light on and see a beautiful clear , crisp picture, This was very important to me. I didnt want to have to be in a dark room in order to enjoy a great bright picture. Its a great product for the value/ We are watching cable TV, ps3 system, and my computer is also hooked up to it. I have HDMI hookups, I use my HDMI receiver stereo and it all flows freely from one thing to the other.. I am enjoying it so much! I have had it for 2 months, I run it daily for atleast 14 hours daily , it is my living room TV! /entertainment system...Hope this answers any questions that one might have.

I purchased two projectors before I purchased the Epson EX7220. Each of the other projectors said that they were 3 times brighter than a bulb projector. I wanted a projector that gave good detail, clear picture and all in daylight. They didn't hold a candle to the EX7220 and they were not even wireless. It is so good that we are thinking about having a Friday night movie showing for our neighborhood.

Wireless Connectivity

As of yet, I cannot get my Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 12.2 to connect to the projector using the Epson app. I can connect from my laptop or desktop with a wireless adapter using the Epson PC software (must be downloaded - doesn't come with projector). I am hoping the smart apps will be fixed, but if you need to use them now, verify your device first.
When showing movies, I get some pauses which I assume is my old laptop - again, check it out. The speaker is adequate for most uses. It isn't for audiophiles, but is clear. No audio out, but that would add significant cost (amp, cntrols, etc.). Use your video source. Keystone adjustments are fine.
Video is bright and clear in moderately lighted rooms which is all I need. Overall, it looks good.
As is common these days, the documentation is very weak. A lengthy pdf file is available, but more attention to the setup description would help.

Epson's EX7220 Wireless WXGA 3LCD A WINNER

As a speaker and trainer I have used dozens of LCD projectors over the years. I also owned a late model industrial version some years ago. I carefully researched the latest models, looking for high white and color lumen count so that I could show my presentations without concern for quality.
I found Epson's EX7220 Wireless WXGA 3LCD A WINNER. High white and color lumen count. lightweight, easy on and off switch. And extraordinary resolution on both a screen or a white wall. I recently used it in a very large function hall with 120 attendees and had to project onto a wall. The resolution and quality were superior. That sold me again that I had selected the right machine for my usage.
I highly recommend this projector if quality, speed and ease of use are important to your work.

I am very satisfied with the projector. The setup was very easy and quick. The video took right off when it was hooked up. The Lan setup was quick and easy. Just did a search on the Android phone Google Play. Down load was immediate. I removed the security to make it easier. I was looking a photos of grandchildren in minutes. The video from PC through the LAN was choppy but will use the HMDI from the PC.
