Perfect for us

Wife and I live in an old house in Hawaii. Don't have the room or the 220 power for a standard washer and dryer. This combo works on 110 power, fits our size requirements and works with our lifestyle. We normally put in medium sized loads several times a week. The set it and forget it routine is great. We have done a Queen size comforter. That about maxes the capacity and does require additional dry time. We are very happy with this product.
Pros: Style/Design

I would give this 5 stars but for several fairly minor design flaws.
The best thing about it is never having to switch clothes from the washer to dryer - and that is a great great convenience. Even when it doesn't get things as dry as I want and I have to add more time, that's really no big deal. It takes a bit of time to learn how to program it and the manual could be alot better about this. But normal loads seem to take about 2 to 2-1/2 hours and that's not really all that much longer than my old separate washer and dryer. Just set it and forget it.
The design flaws: the 30/60/90/120 timed drying isn't flexible enough. Sometimes it just needs another 10 or 20 mins. And sometimes it needs 180 minutes if it's all t-shirts. I'm getting the hang (after 6 months) of the More drying setting and that's working well.
The others who say you just take things out and while they feel damp, just shake them, are amazingly right - many many times clothes just need to be put out on a table or bed for 10 mins and they're completely dry.
It is definitely gentler than other machines.
I'm not so sure it saves as much energy as people say it does, but it certainly uses a very minimal amount of water. I can say that I had to do something like 40 loads of laundry to catch up after my old machines broke down and I couldn't get the install for a while (long story). And that 40 loads didn't increase my electric bill as far as I could tell - nor did it decrease it. The Energy Star rating that says it only uses something like $10 a year is only for the washer; dryers don't get rated by Energy Star.
All in all - a great great concept, very well though not perfectly executed. Oh - and I now have half a closet back because I don't need a separate dryer. Love the extra space!
One more thing - it does make a lot of noise during drying - it sucks out water ever 90 secs or so. Wish they could do something about that sound. Not good if you have to sleep near it (I don't).
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Not love at first use

However, once I figured out how to best use it, I do feel that this is an darn good product. I only give it 4 stars because there are some compromises I had to make to live with the machine. My top complaint is the drying process. I have to run heavier items thru a 2nd dry cycle to achieve dryness. Most items come out feeling damp, but like a dishwasher they evaporate dry fairly quickly. This is my 2nd reservation: I have to find places to drape my laundry til it dries. My 3rd reservation is that although there is almost no machine vibration during spin cycles (wow), the outer door rattles loudly. (It seems to be loosely set.) However, the convenience of having a main floor laundry with a space cost of only half a small closet far outweighs these consideration. Also, putting the laundry in before going to work and coming home to dry clothes without running up and down stairs is so sweet. Sometimes my laundry would languish for days waiting for me to remember it back in the old days! Now it is in my face and ready to fold.

This is the best washer I have ever owned. My clothes are cleaner than ever before. It is easy to use and clean. The drying time is longer than usual but worth it. The clothes are so much softer and put under less stress. This washer and dryer will not only save energy, get clothes cleaner than ever, or run like it is not even there....it will let your clothes live longer :) All my friends and family just love this machine. They even bring friends over to show it off. It just amazes everyone. I can wash large fat queen size comforters in this incredible compact machine. This combo with do the job.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, so nice and quiet

Dry problem solved! It's now my best choice.

If you find the problem of "still wet", here is what I accidentally learned after owned it for a year. This is a unique washer/dryer. Unlike ordinary dryer, this unit has its way to dry cloth. If you click on dry push button with "MORE", it will dry up to your satisfaction. But if you want EVEN MORE! Just learn to play with the push button. You will surely find your way to command it to do EVEN MORE dry at your own choice of timing. Over all, I love this unit. The more I used, the more I like it.

Pretty Good, So far

We bought this unit two weeks ago and it seems to be working pretty well. Of course you can't put huge loads in and expect them to fully dry, but for the most part we've been happy with its performance. With two dogs, we have a minor fur issue, but constant vigilance keeps the gasket clean.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

Excellent Quality & Performance

I purchased this product not knowing what 'condensation' drying was; I only knew it was 'ventless'. It does a GREAT job. You do need to play with the settings, because of different fabrics, but it does the job. Quiet as a mouse and extremely efficient. A few 'bugs' in the owners manual, but nothing to worry about. One piece of advice: This is NOT a washer/dryer for a large family. It will do large loads just fine, but expect a full wash/dry cycle to take 2-plus hours.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Quality

We're retired now. Space is limited. Finances even more so. Retiring top-loader Maytag wash/dry units freaked us out, as we opted to replace them with a combo unit from LG. We did and we aren't looking back. The LG works superbly, even flawlessly.
We've learned to read instructions and follow them closely. We've learned how to save even more money using our combo. We've learned to set our combo to start at midnight and to wake in the am to dry clothes; each and every time.
We would definitely buy this product again. But, we will simply state that LG could do a better design job by simply designing the storage drawer into the combo frame. That way, the drawer would be integrated and the consumer (us) would have less concerns as to why the machine may vibrate a bit (as it does).
What else? Follow the directions! Use this machine as the instruction manual tells you to and it will work beautifully!
Nice tune when cycle completed.
