Motor been replaced annually

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] About 12 months after purchase the machine motor stopped. Had it repaired, and had to pay the full price since the 12 mo warranty had just expired. At the 24 mo anniversary again the motor went out. Again had to pay full price for the repair. Now the motherboard is out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this combo rocks!!!! the programing help alot when we leave and they are very quit when we are home. I was hoping for a little bit more of a reduce in our water and elec.

I've had this LG washer/dryer combo for about three weeks now, and I love it! I needed a combo unit because I was moving into a new home with no room for an ordinary washer and dryer. I love that I don't have to throw the clothes from the washer into the dryer! And it's so easy to use! So onto how well it drys. I don't think some people rating this know that there is a "More Dry" option when you select dry. It's extremely quiet and even if you leave it on "Normal Dry" it still drys just fine, a tiny bit damp but still easily dry. The wash performance is amazing! It uses such a small amount of water! I would definitely recommend this washer to anyone!

I am not 100% satisfied with this unit, however I'm just happy to have a washer/drying so that I do not have to go out to the laundry room anymore.
The description of the product upsets me because I purchased this unit because it is a washer/dryer combo; however THE UNIT IS TOO NOISY!! The description states "Wash in peace you shouldn't know your washer is on from the next room. The LG TrueBalance anti-vibration system is designed to minimize washer noise and vibration for smooth, quiet performance in any room of the house - even on the 2nd floor." The description above which was listed on the products description page is totally incorrect. I cannot operate the washer at night because it's too loud and I cannot sleep. It would be nice if they removed that "quiet" description because it's very much deceiving. Other than that I love the way it washes my clothes, the drying part of the description was correct, which I do not mind that it takes a while to drive, I love the functions and how it sings when the wash is complete and I love the display button too.
Overall I like it, but because of the price I paid, I hope that it works for a long time without many issues.
I would recommend this product to a friend, but I would give them an ACCURATE DESCRIPTION of the unit.

Great Investment

Very satisfied with performance. Had to experiment with condensation drying compared to forced heat drying. Manual should be more detailed in drying section.
Towels, sheets & all other clothing so much softer
than usual.
Space saving opened up my laudry room as well as eliminated the ugly vent tube to the outside.
A remarkable product...love the energy savings!

Awesome Machine

Purchased this machine after searching the internet for over a year for an all in one washer dryer combo unit. Decided on this one after reading reviews. Was so excited to finally be able to purchase this unit, it is a little pricey but we figured it was an energy saver and had to be better than our old units. When using the Drying setting it does take a looong time however not having to "babysit" the washer and toss the clothes in the dryer works out wonders for us. You can put clothes in the washer before bed or work and leave it, come back and fold the clothes. WONDERFUL!! One thing that did surprise me is that the unit is able to wash more clothes than it can dry at one time. You either have to do smaller loads or may have to dry again. Small inconvenience. The second not so nice thing is our clothes started to smell like burnt rubber when we first started to use the unit. I thought it was just because it was new but the smell got worse. My husband suggested using softener and that has fixed the problem. Overall it is a great unit but has room for improvement. We truly love using it! I am a super LG fan. Bought this unit, a Kompressor vacuum, have LG phone and my mother just purchased a 50" TV. Great Brand, Very Reliable!
