Although it's a nice concept, Im very disappointed with this product. It took almost 7 hours for a cycle and the clothes were still damp. My dad's girlfriend bought this for me as a gift on Amazon. Since she did it that way, the company who shipped it says once it's installed there is no returns. I'm stuck with it. I would have rather had a traditional washer AND a dryer. I do not recommend this product at all!

The washer/dryer combo is a great idea. I purchased this over a washer/dryer set. My first run through led me to contact customer support because I was not aware that high efficiency units use 70% less water than traditional washers and the clothes (a few items) took 4 hours to come out fully dry.
PROS: I really like the idea of using 70% less water and the clothes do come out as clean or maybe even cleaner than a traditional washer unit. My energy costs went down since I started using this unit. The larger drum is an added bonus and easily holds a set of sheets, several pair of jeans, or even 2 to 3 large towel sets. In addition, I no longer have to wash most of my hand washables by hand; this unit is very fabric friendly thanks to its many fabric settings; including delicates.
Now the CONS: there is only one "CON" I can find with this unit: the "Dryer" - this function of the unit should not be called a "dryer" - it does not dry clothing like traditional dryers; it does not function like a traditional dryer; therefore, I think the title "Dryer" should not have been used to describe this function of this machine and describing this function as a "Dryer" is misleading. The unit leaves lint throughout the bin and only a small amount of lint makes it to the trap; thus you must clean the bin of lint in addition to the so-called lint trap. The dryer uses water and I was told by customer service it operates like a "humidifier" - this explains why it takes ForEveR to dry the clothes (up to 4/5 hours). I suppose the "humidifier" is designed to prevent the clothes from burning as the bin gets extremely hot during the drying cycle. I have read reviews that the "drying" mechanism burns out in as little as a year and I can see why as the unit gets a funny smell after about 3 hours into the drying cycle. My remedy: I stopped using the "dryer" function as a dryer. I simply set the unit to dry on the 30-60 minute setting knowing the clothes will not be fully dry when the cycle is complete. I, then, hang the clothes on a clothes line or hangers to finish drying. The upside here is line-dried clothes smell wonderful and the clothes are nearly dry when they come out of the unit so they dry very quickly on the clothes line. Also, because the clothes are still dampened slightly out of the bin, they are virtually wrinkle free when fully dry. I will eventually purchase a real "Dryer" to go with my "Washer/Dryer" Combo unit and probably end up using this machine as a sole and separate washing machine.

It's better even than I thought it would be. It is a very high-level machine, beautifully designed. It has made doing laundry a pleasure. If you follow the directions, you get excellent results. The main thing is that if you're running both a wash and dry cycle, then you can't cram the machine: all dryers need fluff room. If you fill it half full or a little more, it will work beautifully, with almost no wrinkling. (And the machine will continue to fluff the laundry for 4 hours after it's done to prevent wrinkling.) Even half full, it will hold a lot, like a full set of sheets and towels. When you start it, it weighs the laundry and tells you approximately how long the entire cycle will take. You can also delay the start so that it will finish at a convenient time, like as you get home from work. It will also do hand wash and woolens in special cycles. If you want to just run a dry cycle, don't select any wash options; just press the dry button for the cycle you want, and if you don't want it to spin first, select no spin. The machine uses very little water, so perfect for buildings that don't allow washing machines (those rules are aimed at the old top loaders that used 30 gallons of water and flooded narrow drain pipes). I actually prefer this machine to separate washer and dryer combos: it's easier, more convenient, you don't have to move the wet clothes, and the clothes come out softer and fresher than from normal dryers. You put the dirty clothes in, and when it chimes its little song, you take the clean clothes out and put them away. A normal wash and dry cycle takes about two hours, but the clothes might be a little damp still (if you put them out they dry in a few minutes). If you want them dryer, just select "More Dry"; it will take longer, but they'll be really dry. The machine is heavy, and does require a solid floor (it spins amazingly fast). But on a solid level floor, it has no vibration and it's very quiet.

I should have bought this product a year and half ago. It was easy to install(I installed it myself) and easy to use. I have had it for about two weeks now and I am still facinated by all the features. Clothes come out dry in about one hour. Jackets and heavy wool items about an hour and half. I leave the door open after every wash, dry the soap dispenser tray and leave that open as well. I plan to run the clean circle once a month. It is a bit expensive, hence the 4 star for value.

After finally deciding to get rid of my agitator washer and electric dryer, which are utility hogs, I purchased the LG combo. I have not regretted my purchase. I enjoy not having to rush to take wet clothes out and put them into the dryer. I set it and forget it. I have not had any problems with clothing not being dry. Yes, one needs to remember that this is a condensation type drying cycle. The clothing may be just a bit damp feeling, but once taken out and a quick shake, poof~dry. I really like the fact that I have not had to iron nearly as much since using this combo. I have gotten many stains out of clothing from others laundry for them with this machine. I definately would not hesitate to purchase another unit. If LG would come out with a 220v unit, I would have it ASAP. I do not find that by drying in the current machine is all that terribly long, most of the time, I let it run for a while in the dry cycle and then remove clothing and hang up. This unit really does a great job on P/P and knit fabrics, way better than the old regular vented bake dry dryer. Clothing really has more body to it and looks much better when done in the combo unit. I have not had any problems with unit, have owned it now almost 4 months now. I really wish I had bought it several years ago, instead of the other utility hogs. I do not have any issue with the amount of clothing that this machine can wash/dry without having to split up the load. The normal total time that shows once unit has done its weighing, with (more dry selected) is a lot shorter that what machine displays. I have a clean fresh laundered and dried load of clothing in usually no more than 2-21/2 hours, which is great considering that this unit only uses 110v. Do yourself a favor and purchase this unit, a lot of step saving and utilites will be lot less. You do not need very much laundry supplies, you will notice more savings there too. When done with your load of cleand and dry laundry, simply take a damp cloth/sponge/paper towel and wipe the rubber seal to remove the lint, takes a few seconds and again, poof~done. No more vent runs that need periodic cleaning. I will be looking into replacing my kitchen appliances with the LG brand in the near future.

I absolutely love this washer/dryer. My clothes look brighter then they ever have and smell fresh. The only drawback is how long it takes to dry clothes. Wished I would have had this years ago, frees up so much space!!
I know the reviews are mixed, but for a ventless dryer operating on a standard plug that I can start with dirty clothes and come home to dry fresh clean laundry, I am impressed! LG has achieved a product that is sleek, well thought and reliable!

You must wash clothes on different settings to find out which one will work for you. The most common mistake I found was not letting the machine complete the entire cycle. That was the only time my clothes were not completely dry. Also, you must allow 4-5 hours for the machine to do it's thing. I learned to start the wash cycle before leaving for work or before going to bed. Clothes were done when I woke up or came home from work. Another thing, clothes no longer shrink and they come out incredibly soft.
