Works very well.

I wash everything in here, and it comes out cleaner than any other machine i have used. I've washed pillows, small rugs, comforters, dirty diapers, soiled winter jackets, etc. and each time everything comes out incredibly clean. The tub is bigger than any other washer I have ever used. Barely needs any detergent. Uses little water. Was easy to install.
Pros: Performance, Quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Perfect for my needs

This machine exceeds my expectations. I had to install a washer in a small closet which did not have a 220V outlet and did not have a dryer vent. Additionally, I really wanted to use the space above the washer for storage, so did not want a separate dryer.
This machine fits the space perfectly.
It washes clothing exceptionally well. Stains disappear like magic. Additionally, it is quiet and seems to use little water. I usually hang clothes to dry, so rarely use the dryer cycle, and the spin cycle leaves clothing just "damp", so drying is quick.
On the few occasions I did use the drying cycle, clothing is dried to about the perfect level, just a hint of dampness left, and not "over-dried".
I would recommend this machine to anyone with similar needs.

Say goodbye to the Laundromat !!

One unit to wash and dry your clothes.
Do it overnight and save on electricity rates.
It is so quiet even the dog does not notice it.
It is the swiss army knife of washers.
And best of all you won't have to walk and carry your laundry through the streets ever again. You won't have your neighbors eyes on your loads while riding the elevator to the basement washing machines...
Load, set and get on with your life... Who cares how long it takes to dry ! At least it won't be a wet lump of clothes waiting for you and mildew...
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, quietness

Awesome wash/dry combo
on January 18, 2014

I didn't need a washer/dryer combo unit since I have an ample room in my house. But I am always interested in saving space. This unit takes up a small footage and I installed in the pantry. Works great. I mostly use this for washing only at speed wash function (20 minutes). Then I just hang dry outside. when one has ample sunlight like in Texas, I see little reason not to use that.
I have tried the dryer a few times which worked great but takes a long time (one cycle takes up to 4 hours) since it has no vent.
I love it and I would buy this again. Only wish I have on this unit is a function I can just dry without having to go through wash cycle. Sometimes you just want to use a dryer function, but this does not allow. Thanks for making a great product.

Broke 4 times since 2011
on January 23, 2015

We had such high hopes for this unit when we researched and purchased it back in 2011. We wanted a washer/dryer combo for our small apartment that will not require conversion of the existing outlet.
This unit broke a total of 4 times since we purchased it. The hose cracked twice, the spin cycle stopped working during the 2nd year and just now, it failed to turn on completely and it has not even been 4 years since we'd had it.
We were lucky to have purchased extended warranty from the appliance store or else this unit would've been useless 2 years into our purchase. It is simply too expensive for something that requires at least 1-2 service calls per year.
A very disappointing product, I would not be purchasing an LG appliance again.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

Not a dryer
on February 21, 2015

I am using this washer/Dryer in a vacation condo and the clothes do not dry even in dryer for 2 hrs and need to put sheets and towels on patio to dry and hang most towels. Concept is great but I would not purchase. Our Neighbor had purchased and returned after 6 mo. Because hard to level and shook new home and not drying...
Pros: Style/Design

dryer quit working and can't be fixed!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this combo washer/dryer only four years ago. It has had to be serviced twice. Now the drying cycle makes the clothes sopping wet and the repair service can not figure out how to fix it! A lot of money spent on a short-lived appliance!
Pros: Style/Design
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Mixed Blessing

I converted my rec room into a 1-bdrm ADA compliant age-in-place apartment for myself and wanted small scale, high quality appliances. Bought this in 2015 as the perfect design for my space available. As many others have said, washing is great. Drying is a nightmare and has cost several thousands of USD due to total failure of "lint trap" design. The first year I kept the lint trap clean but the lint wasn't caught there. It washed down the drain, clog it, and the whole kitchen flooded. But not before both the primary and secondary pumps burned out. Since then I've had to use mesh lint filters on the drain hose. Despite replacing filters frequently, the drain can still overflow, and has done so on 2 more occasions.
Pros: Features/Settings, easy to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
