good app, but very short

I bought this app to encourage my daughter to speak spanish and even used "car playtime" as an incentive. I wanted to give it a better review for the quality of the game, but also a lower review for the length of the app. She was able to go through the entire thing in a few hours (total playtime over two days). Not exactly a long term purchase, and definitely not worth the full price. She started it over again, but you can tell that playing the same episode of Dora all over again is not quite the same.
Pros: Educational, Good for on-the-go play
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My daughter loves Dora so I got this as one of her first games. I was kind of worried at first because she didn't really understand how to use the D-Pad to get around, but after a few days she had it figured out. She just loves being able to travel with Dora.
Pros: Good for on-the-go play, Fun for kids, Grows with child

Fun and education game!

I bought this game for my 3.5 year old daughter who loves Dora to play on her LeapPad. This game keeps her engaged and is easy enough for her to navigate through. It does a great job of teaching Spanish for colors, numbers, directions, and shapes as well geography and cultural facts. I am amazed at how fun this game is for her and how much she has learned playing it. I highly recommend it to all Dora fans.
Pros: Fun for kids

Not enough levels for price

My 4 yr old completed all the games in less than two days. He likes Dora, and had fun with the game until he ran out of new things to do. He completed all the puzzles and the extra swiper adventures, I think he missed 4 treasures out of everything. Disappointed that he could complete the game so quickly, and that there wasn't an *easy and **difficult level option to extend play. He did have fun with the game, while it lasted.
Pros: Good for on-the-go play, Fun for kids, Not engaging enough

Another great educational game from LeapFrog

This is a hard game to review. I bought this game (in cartridge form) almost 3 years ago. My boy loved it, and he still plays it often even though I think he's outgrown it a bit by now (he's almost 6). However, the game does "grow" with the player up to a certain point. In my case, he's had it for years and that's a good deal to me given that I paid full price for it. Some things I like: game functions at just the right speed for growing toddlers, lots of content in Spanish (like actual useful words), "rescue" plots are very engaging, nice playing features/options (aka tools, star collecting, etc). My boy now plays this game in a LeapPad Ultra, so I'm glad LeapFrog makes products that are compatible.
Pros: Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play, Educational

My grand daughter just turned three and received the Leap Pad 2 for her birthday. Since she loves all things Dora I took a chance on this as it is the only Dora game, but was just a little outside her age range. She has had no problems understanding the goals nor navigating her way through the game. She is learning to speak a little Spanish and having a GREAT time.
Pros: Good for on-the-go play, Fun for kids

Love the Learning Path Feature

This was my daughter's first cartridge game. She played this game for hours on end and has traveled all over the world. I loved the Learning Path feature that would inform me of where she went, what she did, and how many problems she solved. I was very satisfied when my daughter explained to me in detail how she climbed the Great Wall of China. Her favorite place was Australia and she is currently exploring Africa.
If you want to introduce your child to world travel and culture then this is the app I would recommend.
Pros: Educational, Fun for kids, Grows with child, Good for on-the-go play
