worst printer i bought from a company

the epson printers are the worst printers to buy and very expensive to buy ink for. in order to use just black you still need the color cartridges and that is where it gets expensive to buy for. they have low prices but adds up to buy ink for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Unbelievably difficult to install

I have never in my life had such a hard time installing a brand new printer. The install disk is not up to date for window 7 64 bit, and you must download from Epson's site. Unfortunately if you don't have firefox you can't get it to download! The printer itself is nice and works great, but I nearly returned it because I could get the drivers installed!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy Installation - What a Breeze!

I just purchased this Epson today after struggling for 9 hours last night (7 pm - 4 am) attempting to get a simple printer (another brand) to load. My sister recommended Epson as that is all they use in their business. This machine is a dream to set up and it worked great the first time - easy to follow on-screen instructions. I even ran "recovery" last night on my computer because I thought it had problems. Also, I love the fact that you can purchase whatever color cartridge is empty rather than having to throw out a color cartridge just bcause one color is out. Great Machine at a great price!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have owned and used several types of printers and have found that the Epson's not only to be the most reliable but the most cost efficient printer on the market. Unless proven wrong as of now I will never ever change the name brand of Epson that sits on my computer desk top area. I find it the most reliable and cheapest printer to operate on the market as of this time. Nothing as of now will change mine or my wife's mind.
EPSON ALL THE WAY!!!!!

Difficult to set up

Set up was easy on the Vista operating system computer; however, set up was very difficult on Windows 7 64 bit operating system. When installing, it said, "know incompatibilities exist" and when it checked Microsoft for a resolution- there was none. After 3 install attempts, i decided to visit epson's website and found the proper drivers Windows 7 operating system; however, I was not able to get the software. I was ready to return the unit for difficult set up. Printer is quick, but also very noisy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
