instructions poorly written, confusing & incomplete,Printing stopped when one cartridge is empty(even 1 of 2 black) is ridiculous.Seems to be a ploy to increase rate of sales and causes a real problem if you run dry when under an urgent deadline. Ink is very expensive. I have used 6-7 other brands, and I RATE ALL OF THEM BETTER THAN EPSON.

HORRIBLE!!

I have owned this for a little over 2 years, it came free with the purchase of a computer, and now I know why it was free! It runs through ink like crazy! All my printing is done in B&W (statements for a very small HOA) and I have to replace all the ink! While it prints fine, I hate how often I am changing the ink-at least once a month! Also, it will only take brand new ink, I tried to go to a store that recycles the cartridges and have the ink refilled,it didn't work. The lady at the store said Epson's are the worst for this. So much for trying to help the environment!

Troubling machine

this machine frequently says it can not "recognize" the ink cartridge and I change out a cartridge that is not empty (waste of money!) It will not print just black if I am out of colored ink. It does not print true to color at all!!!! No matter how much I adjust the print heads, clean the heads, etc. Just poor quality. It is NOT good and I can't wait until I can finally get a new printer. I don't think I will by Epson again. this is my second printer and I am disappointed!

Worst printer I ever owned

This printer only prints about once every 10 times on average, uses way to much ink, uses color ink when printing black and white, and fails to finish a print job often. It worked fair the first 2 reams and then started having issues. I feel this is because it is cheaply made. I may try an upper level model if the price and features are right

Well-engineered, fast, and well-supported by its manufacturer. website is helpful and has all the drivers you'll need. be warned, however, that you shouldn't just pop in the included software disk if you run windows 7 64-bit. you'll find all you need on the seiko epson website.

Printer Error--

Works great until "printer error." The paper gets stuck one time and then "its belly up." I have called the company on two different occasions to get assistance for two different printers, and find that I need to sent it back to the factory for a replacement. Now it's out of warrenty--"Sorry Bud, your machine is not covered." What do I do? I cannot purchase another WorkFroce 520.

This printer is terrible. I've had nothing but problems since I purchased it. I would strongly advise anyone interested in a printer to look elsewhere
