I've had the machine for about a month - so far am very happy with it. Print quality is very good, but seems to use more ink than my previous all in one. The control panel could be better - choosing the menu options involves scrolling thru different menus; having hot keys would be simpler. For the cost, it can't be beat. Buying a low cost stand alone black and white fax machine would have cost me more than this all in one; and the fax quality on this machine is quite good, even faxes in color.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like my WorkForce 520

So far I like the printer. Although some of the trays seem a little flimsy, (a piece broke off the paper output tray already). I have been using since January, 2011. The only other problem so far is that when starting to print is is a little loud, but I guess I can live with that.
A feature I really like is the automatic feeder on top.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had a bit of a problem installing the first one, I purchased two. Once I got it going all was AWESOME. The print quality can't be beat and this is actually the forth and fifth Epson Workforce 500 series printers I've purchased. I love the quality, the fact that you only replace the ink colors as needed and the ease of use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent technical support

Just bought this today and istallation seemed quite easy with only one glitch with the network. I called technical assistance expecting to be on hold but instead, the phone was answered within a few rings, problem solved within 10-15 minutes and support was extremely friendly, easy to understand and I now have a completely installed and functioning printer!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Installation CD is useless. Have to download espon13779 patch from Epson site to complete the installation.
Scanner is very slow
So far, there is no printing quality issue.

Workforce 520 is excellent

I recently upgraded my standard printer to the Epson Workforce 520. It installed easily both to a USB port on my tower and wirelessly to my laptops. The functionality is excellent. I have used everything except the fax with great results. The double sided printing reduced the size of my important papers file considerably.
I recommend this particular model for any home to meet the needs of clean printing, speed, and sharp images in both color or standard black and white.
My scan images convert to pdf without error.
