The EPSON WorkForce 520 was extremely easy to install. There was a needed cable I didn't know about, but found it on my old printer and was able to use. The printing is great! A little loud when it starts, but great quality!

I brought the printer home and read through the material.I did just as the instructions said and my printer was installed on my network with an ethernet cord to my router. Next, I installed the printer on my wireless desk top. I couldn't use the usb cable since my desk top isn't portable, so I installed it using the info from my router and the key pad on the printer. It recognized my network instantly. It was a breeze to set up and the print quality is good. I haven't used all the features yet, but so far, I'm very pleased.

Good but a little difficult

So far I am pretty impressed with this printer. For me I had difficulty installing the drivers. The CD provided with the printer would not support or work with windows 7 as it mentioned it would. But with a little bit of persistence and checking various websites I found the drivers at epson.com I had success. So far pretty happy. One positive to this printer is the individual ink cartridges, so if one color runs out you do not need to replace more than just that one color!!

Epson Workhorse 520

The Epson Workhorse was easy to set up. All of the features worked fine for me, although I haven't figured how to receive a fax. Sending a fax was no problem.
When receiving a fax the machine recognizes it coming in but it doesn't print out or I can't find it on my computer. I may be doing something wrong as this is the first fax machine I have owned. I am very satisfied with all the other functions.

I have only had my new printer but am very pleased so far. The installationn was clearly performed and was completed in a short time. The printer is very fast and the print quality is great. I like having several different colour cartridges which shopuld make replacement more reasonable. Overall,I like the product very much

Network Restrictions
on October 25, 2010

The 520 All in One functions very well. The only issue I have is the networking restriction or being either all wireless or all hard wired. If you have a mixed network with some computers being wireless and some being wired with an ethernet cat-5 wire you can not use this printer for both types at the same time. You only option is to share the printer from one of the computers. The problem with this, is that computer must alway be on and connected to the network. A true network printer would allow you to use wireless or hard wired at the same time.

I have used the printer and scanner function over the first few months with no problems. However, i tried to print a particular webpage yesterday and the printer went into meltdown. It continued to print garbage characters even when i turned off the PC and the router?
I then switched it off and on again and it just continued to print garbage? It didnt stop until the ink cartridges emptied and a lot of paper was used!
I have been on to Epson but no fix is available!
