This is a great printer for my home office. The instructions were very user friendly and I installed it without a problem. I am very impressed with the speed and output color and would highly recommend this printer.

I DO FIND MY PRINTER, FAX, EPSON MACHINE VERY TO USE AND INSTALLED, I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMED THIS PRODUCT IF YOU ARE THINKING OF BUYIND A MACHINE LIKE THIS ONE

Have not used all the options yet but so far everything is working smoothly. Found the fax a little confusing to set up but seems to be working now.
A great deal if it really does all it claims to!

OUR NEW EPSON 520

WE JUST INSTALLED OUR NEW EPSON 520 AND AFTER SOME MANUAL / INSTALL PROBLEMS WHICH COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER, WE MANAGED TO NOT ONLY INSTALL THE PRINTER BUT THE FAX AS WELL. WE LIKE EPSON PRINTERS.
THE LAST ONE LASTED OVER 3 YEARS!! THE "OTHER BRANDS" MAYBE MAKE IT TO 12 MONTHS THEN BREAK.. WE WOULD RECOMMEND THIS MODEL TO ANYONE, AND IN FACT I DID TO A LADY WONDERING WHAT TO BUY AFTER HER OLD ONE OF 14 MONTHS QUIT, SHE PICKED THE SAME MODEL WE BOUGHT AND LEFT FOR CHECK OUT.:-)

This printer appears to be very solid technically, producing crisp clear copies and prints. It is also fast. According to literature & the Epson rep who happened to be at the store where I bought it, ink usage is good/competitive, and the ink supposedly doesn't smudge. Ink colors are separately replaceable, a feature I have always appreciated. There is not a separate ink for photos, also a positive for me.
The printer has good features (fax, wireless, networking, none of which I am currently using but may at some point). It's a little noisy but I don't care about that. The LCD could benefit from backlight. The paper output tray seems a bit flimsy; I'll need to be careful not to break it off.
I like the back-fed paper tray vs one fed from the front, based on past experience with both types. Back-fed seems to be more reliable in getting the paper moving every time (in my experience anyway).
I would recommend this to a friend!
