too expensive to use

I would not recommend this printer because it's very expensive to maintain. You have to keep buying Ink all the time regardless if you use it or not. The ink just disappears after a while. It's very noisy to operate. Will be getting rid of my printer today and starting looking for another.

Hate this printer

This is the worst printer EVER. Goes through ink like crazy, I am changing the cartridges monthly! I use this at home so I don't print that much for it to use them that fast. It wont print envelopes. I open Word and it says to put the envelope in the middle. Well the paper feed on the Epson won't let you do that, so when I move the envelope over to the right side like the printer instructions say, the envelope comes out blank, even if I change the setting in Word to match the printer. This thing is not worth the trouble.

There are two black cartridges, so when one is empty it won't print, why then have two if it will only use one then stop? that makes no sense to me, it's a wast of my time and money.

2 Black Cartridges required !!

I will NEVER recommend a printer that will not print if one of the 2 black cartridges is empty. One of the black cart. is full, but can't print because the 2nd is empty. Heading off to court in my divorce case, lawyer sends me last minute letter to print & sign and PRINTER WILL NOT PRINT UNTIL I CHANGE 2nd CARTRIDGE !! Unbelievable !!
This printer is fabulous. I purchased it only today and I am already extremely pleased with the way it's working. It was extremely easy to set up, and to be honest, the task of setting up a wireless printer to two laptops seemed daunting at first. But, as soon as I clicked the CD into the drive and punched the slider into place, a detailed, step-by-step guide popped up on my screen and walked me through the entire process. Even the portion of the setup that had to be done on the actual printer was so simple - the printer showed me what to do! The LCD display is outstanding, the color is great, and I love that the printer comes with two black ink cartridges. The cartridges are overwhelmingly easy to load and are slim and compact. They click easily into place and have a separate loading space underneath the scanner that keeps the cartridges protected from dust, dirt and whatever else could get to it. The printed instructions that came in the box are wonderful, as well. They're very clear and there's a quick-start double-sided printout to get you set up without having to read the entire manual. After you set up, if you want more detailed information and hints to fix any problems that may arise in the future, the booklet contains tons of detailed troubleshooting tips. I could go on and on about the features that this machine possesses that I love, but it would take about another hour to list them all! Two thumbs up, Epson - amazing job!

New to Me

Why can't I put in my ratings above? I can only give a review on the installation. I would grade it 'poor. The instructions are very unclear. Explanation of what method I should choose are not given. If I made incorrect selections, how do I correct themt. I pray that the directions on how to use my new printer are much clearer than what I have witnessed so far.

Set up

I followed the instrucions and set up the printer with the cable. Then I got lost following the instructions to set up the printer wireless. I called Epson help and spent 38 minutes talking to a tech with a very strong accent. I finally got the printer to print wireless. It would have been a much better experience if the instructios were better written. A few details are left out in the wireless instructions. Other than that, I like the printer.

Worst printer EVER

Spent five hours trying to get the printer to work. Went through every single page, tried everything. The WiFi light would NOT go on no matter what. Screen kept asking for a password when there is NO password. A TOTAL waste of time and a miserable experience in every way. It's a piece of junk. There is no need to make it this hard to hook up a printer.
