Nice Ink System

This Epson printer has 4 ink cartridge colors. Let's user buy just what is empty. I use the extended capacity version to maximize the time between replacements.

This printer works really well and produces very nice, clean documents. The only problem I've had with it is the document feed for scanning and/or copying. The paper constantly jams and I have yet to be able to use the document feed for a complete set of pages. The only other "wish" I have is that the software would allow me to "reset" the printer from my computer after paper jams or paper reloading, rather than having to press buttons on the printer itself.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great price, great compact look, had it over a year and it has no issues. Cartridges are expensive and run out quickly, but the print speed is quick & it performs well enough for my small business needs.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Workforce 520 - Not #1

Easy to change the ink cartridges and the digital readout is great! It is very difficult to fix a paper jam, if paper is stuck in the back you do not have easy access to get it!

Epson WorkForce 520 All-in-One is not a good quality, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone:
1-It jams very easily.
2-The fax machine never works since I bought it.
3-I've had many issues since I bought it, and I had to call the Tech Support for help several times
4-The only inks that strangely work are those from Epson.com
4-You have to apply a dual-black ink cartridge in order for it to work.

Gneral Printing error

The printer has several nice features, speed, conversion of pdf to word, but all of these are offset by the unreliable printing. I consistently get a message error after a print job is completed, and can't start another print job until I shut down the printer raise the cover so as to pretend to remove a non-existing paper jam. After closing the cover I can proceed to print and the general printing error message disappears. The manual or the online help provides only the above process for correcting the problem, which means the underlying problem persists!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good allround printer

Have been using the Workforce 520 for more than 2 years and am still happy with it.
My only criticism is that the ink cartridges are much more expensive than those for my last Epson printer, and they do not last very long.
