I've had this printer for over six months. When I first purchased it, I had to down load updated drivers for Win 7. The printer worked flawlessly for one month. Now I have to constantly uninstall and then re-install the software and the updated driver. This is a real annoyance.

I received this all- in- one printer as a Christmas gift and it broke after less than a year, with me using it ocasionally. I am very disappointed and i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Not loving the fax feature

I bought this all in one 7 months ago. So far, my only big complaint is receiving a fax. I can't use the autoreceive and get voicemail if it's not a fax, and I have to attend to the machine by pushing certain buttons to receive them when I am there. This is very inconvenient. The machine is noisy, and shakes some during printing. The autofeed has jammed a couple of times. The paper feed and tray seem flimsy. However, it is nonetheless a fairly study product. The copies are clear, good color. It seems like I use more ink than I have with other printers. I thought I would be able to use the individual color inks, but even though it says I can, I can't figure out how I would be able to do so. Overall, I like the machine.

I bought an Epson Workforce 520 for my office. I like it so much that I bought one for home, too. There seemed to be a lot to recommend it. Installation, including wireless set-up, was pretty easy. It makes pretty good copies. In black-and-white draft mode, it prints really quickly.
The Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) does not work very well. It can be difficult to get the originals far enough into the ADF for them to feed. If the originals aren't perfect -- for example, if they have been folded, or are wrinkled -- they don't like to feed.
When you try to do one thing (such as make a copy), it often will not allow it, demanding attention to another thing -- such as repeatedly insisting that you confirm that you want Auto Answer to be ON.
One of its very most annoying properties is that you cannot adjust the amount of time it waits to sync up when sending a FAX. VERY often, when sending, it times out and says that the FAX at the other end did not answer -- when you can hear that the remote FAX did indeed answer, and that it was in the process of connecting. (I figured out a workaround for that -- put a couple of 'pauses' (dashes) at the end of the phone number...)
The ink seems to be quite expensive, and they make it very difficult to use brand-x or refillable cartridges.
When making non-draft black-and-white images, it uses up colored ink. If it thinks that a color cartridge is empty, it WILL NOT LET YOU PRINT IN BLACK-AND-WHITE!
It doesn't hold much paper. The specs say 100 sheets. I can get about 45 into it.
I really *want* to like this machine, but it doesn't make it easy! It was quite inexpensive, but the cost of the ink...

Uses A LOT of Ink

I seems to be running out of ink VERY frequently which is frustrating when you need to get something done. I now buy two refills for each cartridge at a time, that means 4 blacks and two of each color. This is getting VERY expensive. It may be a good deal on the shelf, but in the long run it is a very expensive and wasteful printer!
