I have had 2 Epson Printers before this one.. This is by far the best printer on the market for home use. Workforce 520.It is fast and easy to set up. Wi-Fi is great. It will do most anything with ease. The Colors are outstanding..
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Printer

I am currently in college and do a lot of printing for all my classes. Whether its printing papers/notes or printing a personal picture, this printer does the job flawlessly. I moved into the dorms in late August and it is now midway through February and I have printed a whole ream of paper, and in that time I have not had to replace a single ink cartridge. Great printer, very affordable when the ink lasts as long as it does.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I use the USB connection so can't comment on the Wifi connection and I haven't used the fax machine.
Black & White print quality is fair to poor.
Color prints are average
Paper is difficult to get inserted correctly and often feeds crooked
Scans & copied documents are decent
Instructions are practically non-existent and the user interface isn't very intuitive.

One of the deciding factors in choosing this printer was the extra black ink cartridge which I thought would be beneficial. Turns out both cartridges must have ink in order to print. I can have a full cartridge of blank ink and can't print until I replace the empty one. I'm buying ink just as often as if there was only one cartridge.
Overall not very satisfied with this printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Printer ever

Ink runs out REAL fast then entire device shuts down until you replace it - that's right...no copy, no scanner, no nothing.
You're better off spending more.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works perfect on Linux Ubuntu 11.10+ and Windows!

I am writing this review to let people know that I have finally found a printer that works perfect in both Ubuntu and Windows! The Epson Workforce 520. We love it so much that we bought one for business location that use both windows and ubuntu linux machines.
Set up was a breeze:
-Unboxed
-Pluged in
-Powered on
-Installed ink
-Set language and time
-Pressed menu button to network settings
found my wireless router and enrtered key
-Ubuntu desktop found the network printer via settings, printers, add, and installed drivers automatically.
-Inserted disk in windows desktop and intalled in a few minutes using exisiting printer in network option.

setup was easy using the step by step manual
prints very fast
very good print quality
scanner scans pictures and documents very nicely
either from your computer or download from the scanner to computer
you can setup the fax to send out all types of paper documents with out leaving your home
great machine
I would definitely recommend the Epson WorkForce 520 All-in-One Printer for your one stop shop.
