If I am out of Black Ink why can I not choose another color cartridge to print from? Everyone prints in Black and the cartridge did not last long even on Draft settings.
Now that I have no ink in the Black Cartridge, I can't print at all? Can't select another color that is full to print from to at least have a copy of a document?
Menu setup is tedious. Menu should prompt when you load the disc as to how you are going to use the printer and the best cost savings results...

I am not computer savy at all, but I was able to connect this one to my wireless network all by myself! The instructions were great. It kept reminding me not to connect the usb to the computer yet. Without the reminders, no doubt I would have screwed it up.
Now, the real test is to see if I can connect the printer to my son's lap top. Wish me luck.

I have owned 3 different Epson printer/fax. They have all failed within the first 2 years of little work. Not all functions work correctly, eat ink very fast, computer dosen't indentify it after awhile, Etc...
Never again will I purchase an Epson unit.

First install went well till near the end.Could not complete install.After a couple of hours of trouble shooting had to download complete new drivers and utilities combo.Works so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cannot get the scanner to work and will not print. Tried all aspects of trouble shooting..no results. Would not recomment this unit to anyone

Epson Stylus NX420

The Epson Stylus NX420 is the best all a round printer I have purchased. The 420 handles all of my printing needs with exceptional color graphics. It also is small enough to take on the road. The wireless set-up was very simple to complete.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The wireless link SAYS it's working fine, but my computer won't communicate with it. Tried everything--shutting off virus protection, reinstalling sfotware--nothing worked. Now I guess I have to call tech support.

So Easy A Caveman Could Do It!!!!

I could have let the wife set it up!
So far I have only used the print option, however the setup was extremely quick and easy. Even with a 2 year old climbing all over me like a jungle gym. I did not have the required cord so I had to setup wirelessly. It takes a firewall style USB NOT a standard USB that I am used to with everything else. Even witht hat it was extremely user friendly to setup and use. The printed pages come out very crisp and clean and looking at my hands I don't notice any smeared ink. If the pictures come out half as good as the printed pages this machine is well worth the money we spent on it.
I would recommend this to a friend!
