now that I have the printer working, it seems to be okay. The directions for installation were not great. Took me all night and an hour or so the next morning to get the darn thing working finally. I am no tecchie type for sure but the instructions could have said something about having to push a button on the router!! I had to install the printer about 8 or 9 times before it finally got to the point of telling me to "push the press button on the access point" or something like that. Make it easier than that please.

This is my first Epson printer. Have always used HP's and others. By far this is the easiest one to install that I have ever seen. Dynamite print quality too. Didn't buy it as a workhorse machine, but needed a wireless one for my iPad. Made a great choice. And the price point was right too. Thanks Epson.

Just installed new nx420 printer.piece of cake easy step by step instruction including wireless hookup.usb cable(not included) makes initial wireless quicker.you are prompted to connect then disconnect.very simple.so far so good.

I like this printer as it is very basic and does not have alot of features I would not use. It only uses 4 colors of ink and will cut down on cost. Other printers I had used had 7 different colors of ink and was expensive when having to replace them. Epson printers work out well for my needs. The copies that are made are very clear. I would recommend this printer to anyone.....Happy in N.C. -K.C.

Writing as a technically-challenged consumer (and pessimist), I am happy and relieved to report no problems - knocking on wood right now - with my new Epson Sylus NX420 All-In-One Printer. Set up went so quickly that I couldn't believe I had no other steps to follow. It was "good to go" in no time. Among the many features, my favorite appears when the black ink is low, the screen offers an opportunity to mix other colors to save on the black. I also appreciate the ability to replace one color ink cartridge instead of replacing all at the same time. My only reservation concerns the noise when printing, but it's no louder than any other printer. Perhaps the manufacturer will adjust the noise level by the time I buy my next Epson printer. Until then I'm more than satisfied.
