Best Bang for the Buck Printer

Finally, I managed to find an easy to use printer at a reasonable price. I really like the print speed. The scanner function gives high quality graphic results too. I like the miniature LCD display function screen. All in all, I found this printer to be easy to use with excellent quality print results. Thank you Epson.

Epson printer is great

The epson NX420 printer is great. I had epson printers in the past and I had nothing but good results with them. The cartridges not to expensive and they last. The epson printer is easy to maintain. The printing from an epson is good. I recommend the epson NX420 printer for whoever needs a everyday printer.

This printer is too slow and the software that comes with it does not work well on Windows 7. I have had epson printers for the past 8 years and I have never had a problem with them, till this one. The quality on this is not what I expect from an epson printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I think the printer is very noisey, makes me afraid that it is not working properly. I have used just the copier and printer and the quality of print is good. I have not used the photo printer tho. I do wish it did not sound the way it does.

Nice Printer

Prints nice and clear, love the wireless feature and the option to select between color or just black. Not ideal for allot of copies for work but for little stuff works really good. My black ink is already showing half empty an only probably printed 30 pages or so and low quality. Still recommend.

I think this is a great printer. I have used Epson products in the past which is why I chose to go back to Epson when we purchased an additional computer and needed another printer. However, I had one concern in the set-up instructions. Under number 4 of the set-up process, "Install Ink Cartridges", the first step requires lifting up the scanner, then opening the cartridge cover. But when we lifted the scanner, the tray for the cartridge cover was to the extreme right and could not be moved over so that the ink cartridges could be dropped in. We pulled and tugged at it for quite a while. Needless to say we became frustrated. It would have been helpful to include in the instructions a short phrase perhaps that simply read, "Should the tray not be in position, press the start button and it will move." It took up a great deal of my time trying to figure that out.
