I like my printer just fine except for one thing. The quality of the print is great and it does a great job on pictures but I am disappointed that I can't use the "draft" mode when I do not need a high quality print. Ink is so expensive that I like to use the draft print to save on ink. Not now.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy Set up

I just bought this printer today for personal and some small business use.
I have not tried the photo options yet but scanning, copying and printing work great with great resolution.
This printer is so incredibly easy to set up and I love being wireless!

Just got my Epson printer connected. Very happy with the quality of the printed pages. Can't wait to use the scanner with my SmartBoard.

Frustrations with ink

The printer was a difficult to set up wirelessly and to figure out the scanning features, but once we had it going it worked great -- good quality, a little noisy but nothing terrible. Scan quality was excellent.
My main problem is that if any one of the 4 ink cartridges runs out, you cannot print at all -- you can't even print in black/grayscale if any of the color cartridges are expended even if you have a full black cartridge. Since we don't do a ton of color printing, when we ran out of one of the color cartridges about 8 months after purchase I didn't run to buy a new one...until I found I then wasn't able to print at all. Extremely inconvenient.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great printer

If your thinking about buying a printer this is the one that your going to want to own. The set up is very simple and your getting alot of printer for a great price. Great for all printing needs form the person thats going to print coupons to the person that is going to print photos all day long this is the printer for you. And you can scan with it. Not to mention this printer is wi fi so no wires other then the power cable. So really if your in the market for a new printer this is the one for you.

The printer keeps giving me messages that I may have selected the wrong printer. I do not have any other printer. I wind up having to go through the setup several times before I can get it to work.....a real pain in the neck! Am sorry that I got an Epson now

Really great pinter except...

The NX420 is wonderful but needs a larger black cartrige. the other dislike is if you are out any ink the printer won't let you keep going.
I love the INK!!!!!!!
The waterproof quality is incedible as is the fadeproof dye used. I hated that other printers did not have this. I have had and worn out a CX84, CX8400 and one of these NXBest in the print durabiltity of any in the business.
