HATE IT

This printer has never worked well for me. I don't do a lot of printing or scanning but I wanted to have the option. I've always heard good things about Epson, so I thought this was a safe buy. I've probably spent more time and money (on ink) trying to fix the printer than I have actually using it. It has NEVER printed clearly, every time I run the set up feature to reset the settings the paper "jams" (there is no real paper jam) and my only option is to turn off the printer thus losing the work I'd just done. The printer is noisy, slow, and goes through ink far too quickly and to top it off you can't even print more than one page to a document. I can't stress enough what a complete waste of money this machine is!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I hate this printer. Every time we press "print" it's a crapshoot if something will spit out of the printer. Every time it breaks, it's a new issue we've not experienced before. Randomly loses network connectivity, misc. errors, and my favorite: "a general error has occurred." One of the worst products I have EVER purchased. I can't believe this is allowed to be sold to consumers.

This printer does everything you could expect for its price. It performs well both wired as well as on wifi. Only minor criticism I have is noisy operation when printing or copying.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I like this product because I have been using this product for also 8 years now. I can easily buy printer ink in all the major electronic stores. I have used many different printers but this one is the only one that lasted that long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worse printer I ever owned

We have a Epson Work Force 610 printer which works fine, so when we needed to replace our other printer we purchased the NX420. I worked fine for about 1 month, then the problems started; shadow printing, paper jams, you name it. All attempts to adjust it were fruitless. It would cost too much to send the printer back, and it's too light for a boat anchor, so we pitched it. I wouldn't recommend this printer, it was a waste of money.

Hoping ink lasts longer

Recently i purchased this printer i am VERY concerned about the amount of ink it uses. i've printed 1 picture ( 4x6) and 3 single page letters as well as the test paper and it is telling me black ink is low. just ordered new cartridge i really don't think i should have had to do on a new printer Stylus NX 420 all n one. Like to know how much others r getting per cartridge

We needed a wireless printer/scanner so we tried this Epson model. After one and a half weeks of normal printing, it's out of black ink (my previous HP printer ink cartridge lasted 10-12 months). Also, the "draft" option prints so lightly that it's unusable.
