Epson Stylus NX420 All-in-One Printer

a reasonable priced printer, easy to set up on the network, prints good colour pictures, easy to copy a document or scan an old photo or document. con: very slow to print, Ok if you are not in a hurry.
I would recommend this to a friend!

NX420 has delivered everything I wanted.
1. Fast, easy set-up.
2. Precise paper feed (I double-printed a picture, had to look very hard to tell). This is essential for borderless 4X6 pictures, but hard to find in moderate-priced consumer printers.
3. Superior fast-econo and grayscale settings let me both conserve ink and get drafts FAST.
4. Small desk footprint, light weight are not essential, but much appreciated nonetheless.
5. I like Epson's color tones. This is a subjective preference, rather than a feature.
This is my first Epson--I like it a lot!

INK problems

I bought this printer last week, used it to print maximum 1o pages, After that it is asking me to change the Black Ink.
I don't know if it has been sitting in the store for long time or thet is the normal life span of the Ink.
I will never buy an Epson another time

The Printer for those who don't really need one!

I've had this printer for about a year and a half now and finally want to actually use it for something more than just a printing a flight itinerary, or a groupon voucher. And it's useless. I can't get it to print on an envelope, or any paper besides regular old copy paper. If you plan on using this printer for anything besides basic, once a week or so stuff, it's not worth it. I'm glad it was free. Now I can go spend my money on a not-so all-in-one, and maybe it will have full printing functionality. Scanner works fine for basic stuff also. Wish it had a rear-feed so I could print on better paper and envelopes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Frustrating

I am constantly buying ink for it, though I don't print a whole lot. Won't print in black and white without colored ink also installed, though I have selected that option. Got it free with MacBook purchase, wish I had just bought a nice printer myself. Not worth the trouble.

Scanner failed soon after use

I have had the NX420 for about a year before I started to use the scanner. The scanner soon failed but the printer still works.

I have been trying to use the printer I can't get it to print through my network or USB direct it will copy I get an offline error message no matter how I try to print I also get low ink so I had you send me new ink costly I might add and still to no avail
