Epson 420 all in one printer

This printer is so much quiter then the other printer made by another company that I had. I should of did this so long ago. I am happy that I went with this one. The Epson 420 all in one printer. Great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Originally we installed using disc and printed a test page, however, the next time attempted, did not work. I went back to old printer, thinking it was a wireless issue, but continued to be unable to use. Finally today I went online because message said driver was missing, and found a tiny reference to an error that prevented using the install disc for updates! great

I like the printer very much BUT it is loud and I have it set on QUIET mode. I am sorry but I could not recommend it to a friend unless the noise problem is corrected.

This is the worst printer I have ever death with: it is one error after the next. Printing is impossible to get done. First it's an issue with the ink, then it's another issue, then the paper jams, then it can't communicate with the computer... Fix one thing, and another error will pop up to further prevent me from doing the one thing I got the printer for in the first place: PRINTING! I am about ready to throw it out the window and into the street. The ink for it is insanely expensive and it is constantly telling me that the printer is out of ink so I am perpetually buying more ink after only having printed one or two things (which is a miracle if I can even print a page out) Hate. It.

Overall good printer, unless you need to "air print". This printer does not have that functionality, and I was given this printer with my iPad which I can't use, so it's just a normal printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Big Features--Small Price!!!

I love this printer!!! It's fast, quiet, easy to use, and prints sharp copies. It's also nice to have the little screen on the side to know the status of what's going on as you're using the printer. This is actually my second NX420 (I liked the first one so much that I purchased this one for my college kids).
I would recommend this to a friend!

duplicitous documentation

Perhaps this printer will prove itself worthy over some time. However, setup was complicated by duplicitous documenatation. Steps for setting up the printer in the Quick Guide are not the same as the steps outlined in the Start Here leaving the new user confused. As a result, setup was a lengthy and frustrating experience.

Ink level indicators

After the original cartridges were installed, the low ink indicators worked perfect.
Then time came for a replacement of one of the cartridges, then came no more low ink indicator any of the cartridges again to this date ...!
WHY is that I wonder !
