Very fast and dependable printer, even though it was my first I can still tell what a good and a bad printer are.

Epson Stylus NX420 All-in-One Printer

scanner software program is very difficult to understand - I want to be able to scan a document to a word document or a pdf and can not get anything but an image - selecting sections to scan is difficult.
I bought this to be used primarily as a scanner. Very disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

NX420 - So far I love it!

Too soon to give a really in depth review since I've only had this printer less than a week, but so far I love it. Set up was easy. My computer knowledge is above average, and It was easy for me to set it up for WiFi. I think it would not be easy for everyone to setup. Anyhow, we have two laptops that can now use the wireless printer. Very nice!
Print quality is great. I printed photos, scanned photos and regular text and it was great.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great wireless all-in-one printer

The wirless printer set up is just easy. Drop in the installation CD and follow the steps in the guide and that's it. Must know your network SSID first. I can scan, copy and print anywhere in the house from my laptop even from the backyard. Quite convenient. The print quality is very good black and colour. Surprise it comes with set of normal ink cartridges, not sample sized. Printing direct with card reader is great. It reads all the different types of memory cards that I have. After all the good things is printing without cable attached from any computer.

Bad paper feed

The printer for the most part is alright. Nothing to jump and down about. There is one major flaw however. It won't take over about twenty pages in the paper feed and getting the paper in the feed is a real pain. I have to try loading and restarting the print job about five times before it feeds. I have been useing the printer for about a year and it has not gotten any better.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is a great printer to get the feel of Epson Printers if you want to experince a Epson printer. you don't have to invest in the top of the line to see how the workmanship goes in to a printer. you get your moneys worth and i have never met a Epson printer i did'nt like
