Poor Engineering

NX420 is VERY similar to the CX7400 except for the ink cartridge. The cartridge 69 / 88 is very similar to the cartridge 124 / 125 BUT with one subtle difference. Why is it necessary for the cartridge to become obsolete with each model upgrade? This product is new and very familar(CX7400) and is working flawlessly, but for how long?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am very happy with the quality of prints I get with my printer. It was very easy to set up and use. I am 63 years old and just getting into the computer world and I hooked up the printer without any help.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It does it all and wirelessly to boot!! The setup wasn't too bad. Just make sure you reboot after the install and setup. Great resolution.

Setup was a breeze, we got our first wireless printer and it was eeeaaasssyy...... great printer for a great price and like all our previous printers ... the unbeatable quality of Epson... go get yours!!!

An Okay Printer

I have only had the printer working for 10 minutes, so these are my first impressions.
First I couldn't get the wireless to work, but the USB cable worked as directed once I got hold of one (the printer does not come with one).
The photo printing quality is average.
The paper tray and out-put tray look rather flimsy, but have worked for the 10 minutes it has been functional.
The printer itself is on the loud side. I would prefer something softer since I work in an office environment. Further, it violently jerks the paper into the feeder. Though it looks alarming the 3 print jobs I tested all came out smoothly.
Overall, the features I have tested have worked (I bought it for the ability to copy as well as print), but it’s overall execution (the noise and jerky printing) is poor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I just intalled this new printer and have not yet used this product. My last printer was also an Ebson and I was quite happy with it untill an elecrical storm and 8 hour black out killed my Epson Photo Stylus 5000 two days ago. May it rest in peace. I will now sing Amazing Grace and play Taps on my harmonica. I will write a review in about a week or so.
