The Epson 420 in my opinion had the following problems:
1)slow to set up
2) paper jammed on test print.
3) ink was not enough to even do a test print. Was later told that was normal -- my last 3 printers all had full cartidges of ink supplied with the machine
4) was not happy that I could not scan to my sd card without going through the computer

I returned the printer

So far, so good

Bought this printer through an online seller (who'll remain nameless).
It set up and installed like a dream.......... I actually accidentally dropped it on a corner of the box, which testifies to the good packing job by Epson! (I am kind of a major KLUTZ sometimes!!) But set-up was a dream and my first test prints were great.
Being a photographer, I then printed a couple of my art photos, and other than a gamma adjustment, the prints were almost comparable to my Epson 2880 prints.
All in all, I'm very pleased with this printer, which was purchased basically to handle day-to-day work such as printing articles from the 'net, print examples, etc.
So far, SO good!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy set up and use

I am no techie but even I found the Epson printer a breeze to link up to my router and get started.
Looking forward to doing some photo work and the unit is nice compact and mobile.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This printer is so quiet and easy to use. It is also really easy to set up and the printing quality is excellent.
I would buy it again and the price is reasonable.

Its easy to set up and download I like the fact that its wireless . So theres not alot of spagetti wiring all over pictures come out really clear and sharp!

Nifty printer for the most part. Network printing rocks. Downsides :
- First page print on powerups are NOISY !
- Scan is not possible over network ! Extremely disappointing, when there are all sorts of options looking at them, like writing to the memory card slot or local cache for network retrieval !
- Cannot set up on network until ink is installed... backwards for a "make sure I can first" user like me. But on network from easily using the touchpad controls once I got past the ink.
So while great as a network printer, I can't use much else of it due to the scan limitation.
