I love this printer for basic printing, scanning and copying. It's simple for standard size printing needs, even envelopes. The cons are that you can only use Epson brand inks and the paper tray is very thin and flimsy. A plus are the 4 individual ink cartridges, you only need to replace cartridges that run out of ink. The scanner and copier works great, very close to the original document color. This printer is best for small volume printing needs, perfect for an at home office.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This printer is OK, but just OK.
I struggle with it every time I want to do something with it.
Right now I'm trying to change the print cartridges. and I can't get the printer to function after I changed the the print cartridge.
I know what your thinking and you are partially right, I just had an auto accident and I am recovering from a brain injury and that is a problem, but not the whole Problem.

The Epson NX420 has proved to be a smart purchase. It is very user friendly, and prints complete pages-no gaps or anything.I use mine for personal and for student use. I also like the fact that it enables you to print photos that have a great print quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Got the printer to use with my lap top and desk top. Works fine with the desktop,(older system), but with the lap top it will only print. Message errors says "its not compatabale with windows 7" and to check with microsoft to see if there is a remedy. there isn't. I even ran the set up disc 2 times llike it said to do. Should probably take it back but at least if I want to scan, I can use the desktop. Being able to print from laptop is more important then scaning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought a epson 420 printer. I have a mac laptop. The instructions were not easy to understand since the printer was connecting to a mac but after a call to customer service they helped me out and it seems to be working fine. I have had the printer for a week with no problems and would buy another.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This has been a very good purchase for us. We were kind of computer and printer dummies, but this printer/skan has opened a new era for my family. Already we have been able to scan and copy and even did a copy of pictures, wow was that great. Thankyou for making this printer an easy tool for us to use.
