Only 5 years old and the bearing are going out!

I bought my washer 5 years ago. I only do wash twice a week. It doesn't wash clothes very good and the bearing are going out now. It is so loud when the spin cycle is going! I'm going to purchase a new washer soon and it will not be a whirlpool.

This Cabrio Washer/Dryer set by Whirlpool is excellent. I am very pleased with its performance and ease of use. The tub is large enough to wash my king size quilt, which saves me costly trips to the laundromat. I would definitely purchase another set just like this one.

This machine is hard to get use to. major omission there is no spin cycle if you have wet cloths rain snow or whatever you cannot select spin cycle only the best you have is rinse and spin. Another problem I am having the machine seems to become unbalanced very easy on the final spin, rearranging the cloths sets the cycle back to rinse cycle, they have already been rinsed. this is like 6 or 7 minutes left and sets the machine back to about 20 minutes.

I bought this washer about a year ago. I am not a big fan of HE machines because they typically dont get your clothes clean but this one does a good job and I'm pleased with the results. When I first bought it, it did put holes in a few items of clothing but I havent noticed that it has done that to anything recently. Overall its a good machine - no problems.

Does not clean clothes

I purchased this beautiful washer/dryer set for my new home on the recommendation of a salesman in a major appliance store that said it had all the top reviews. After I used it over 8 months I could not imagine how anybody could be happy with its operational and cleaning performance. It only sloshes the clothes around in a sloppy wet condition on the bottom of the barrel not even covered with water. It has constant problems with out of balance spin cycle. The only way to keep it in balance is do very small loads. One set of queen sheets will often through it out of balance. At times, clothes will still be so visibly dirty after the wash I just have turn them over and wash them again. This machine is in a class by itself for the worst washing machine I have had in 40 years of owning machines. I tried to take it back to the store - they wouldn't take it back. It cleans so poorly that I gave it to goodwill instead of trying to sell. I didn't want rip off somebody by selling a piece of junk. I replaced it with an agitator style top loader machine that will take a full tub of water. I am cleaning clothes again. The dryer on the other hand is excellent - fastest dryer I ever had.

4 years young - BAD BEARINGS - CAN'T BE FIXED

I am completely and utterly disgusted and physically sick that this four year old Cabrio washer which I bought brand new at top $$$$ has "bad" bearings and was told "it is now trash" – can't be fixed. It is not like I am washing for an army of people in my household. Will not buy Whirlpool again.
