This product is not of the quality I would expect from the Otterbox name. Firstly, the rubber parts of the case began to fray within three days of receiving it under gentle use (being put in and out of my bag or pocket.) Also, the plastic material is very slippery and does not grip well at all. I always feel like I'm going to drop it. When face-up on a flat surface, the case is a shape that makes my phone spin around, which is very annoying and makes it difficult to use. The case does however fit snugly around the case and the cutouts for the buttons are accurate.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great protection. It is not bulky like the defender so it slides in and out of your pockets with ease. I do not ever want to drop my phone, but if I did, I believe this case would protect!

The Otter Box itself was fine as far as it went, but I mistakenly assumed that the order would include the front piece to protect the screen but it did not. I had to purchase a screen cover separately to get the protection I was looking for. It's fine now, but at additional cost and time.

First off, I usually do not post reviews of products I buy. If they are good, I will continue to buy them. If not, I won't.
That being said, the case I bought is a mixed bag. It is slim, well-made and seems to protect the phone... I have yet to drop it but the front bezel is quite nice (one of the reasons I bought it). Coming from a UAG case on my galaxy S3, the otterbox had some big expectations to meet.
The largest problem I have with the case is the back. It's slippery and not grippy at all, it slides everywhere. If I had known this I would have bought a unicorn beetle case instead of this one, although it is more comparable to the otterbox defender series. The unicorn beetle is also 20 bucks cheaper. I probably should have gone with that one in the first place.
In summary: not a bad case if you can overlook the slippery back.

I would have like more choice of colors for the case. I needed a color that when I put the phone down I would be able to see where I left it. My last otterbox was blue so that left me with pink.
Due to the design of the phone, the case is not 100% protected. Other than that, I expect the Otterbox to stand up to its reputation. So far no spills or drops!
I would recommend Otterbox!
