Overheats when installed in cabinet

Microwave FFMO1611LS is installed in a cabinet with trim kit in the home we purchased 6 months ago. Since that time, we have had 3 magnetron failures, and have replaced the magnetron 3 times. I'm told that the reason is inadequate ventilation in the cabinet. Is this a common problem with this model?

Only lasted a year!

Broken within one year

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The microwave that came with my new mobile home has broken and it hasn’t been a complete year. I realize the mobile home was there two years prior to my purchasing it, but two years of non use. It should not have broken this quickly.

Hope it lasts longer than the last two.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the third one of this model. We are somewhat restricted by having to install built in models to match the stove. The last two just stopped working after cooking the same dish that required 15 min. on high. We are afraid to do this again. We only use it to reheat leftovers.

Love the Consistancy!!

We bought this Microwave in April. It's Great, I Love the room inside and the instant cook times. You can't go wrong with this one.

Works Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my Frigidaire October of 2016 to replace the same model that I purchased in 2012. After about 3 years I noticed the paint peeling on the inside of the microwave and purchased a new one , the old microwave worked great but was unusable because of the paint peeling. I purchased the second one because It was installed with a stainless steel trim kit to match my wall oven .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only Worked for a Few Months...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our Microwave stopped working after three months. It was bought new and installed into our kitchen right before we moved in. We had no issues for the first three months until one day where it began to smell terrible and wouldn't heat anything.
Thankfully Frigidaire did provide a rebate for the microwave after a phone call or two. Due to the fact that Frigidaire was easy to work with and we've had no problems with other appliances from them we replaced it with a similar Frigidaire microwave a few weeks ago. So far, so good :).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible Experience

I have had two of these microwave and they have both been horrible. I purchased a newly built home and the first was one began to rust on the inside at the top and it was replaced. After approximately 6 months of usage It began to rust again and then it no longer heated my food. I guess these microwaves have a life span of about six months to maybe a year. My neighbors warned me about the microwaves because they all had them in their homes and they all experienced the same issues minus the rust. Their microwaves died around the one year mark. I guess my third replacement will be on the way......
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
